What's the role?
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Attorney to join our global legal team based in our Chicago office (Hybrid 2-days/week). This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, diverse, and high-impact environment, supporting our operations across the Americas region (U.S., Canada, and Latin America).
In this role, you'll provide practical, business-oriented legal counsel to cross-functional teams, including Human Resources and Compliance. While expertise in U.S. employment law is critical, experience or interest in Latin American employment law is necessary.
What You'll Do
As a Senior Labor & Employment Attorney, you'll have a greenfield opportunity to work as part of our globally distributed team doing the following:
- Advise on employment law matters across the Americas region, including employment contracts, disputes, regulatory compliance, and workplace investigations.
- Draft, review, and maintain labor-related agreements, workplace policies, and handbooks.
- Conduct compliance reviews to ensure adherence to employment regulations and company policies.
- Support workforce-related initiatives, including reorganizations and employee relations strategies.
- Collaborate with and guide HR teams on best practices and risk mitigation.
- Engage with external counsel and manage legal budgets effectively.
- Contribute to the Ethics & Compliance Committee to support company-wide compliance efforts.
Who are you?
You are someone who would thrive in a multicultural, fast-paced environment and enjoy both independent work and team collaboration. You'll be successful in this role with most of the following:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent law degree.
- Licensed to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction (Illinois preferred but not required).
- 8-10+ years of experience in labor and employment law in the Americas region , at least 2 of these years in a corporate role
- Intellectual curiosity and agility-able to quickly research and grasp unfamiliar legal frameworks, assess risks, and confidently provide well-reasoned guidance in new jurisdictions.
- Strong contract drafting and verbal communication skills in English (Spanish and/or Portuguese a plus).

The expected base salary range for this position is $175,000 to $210,000 per year. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as skills and experience.
This position is also eligible for a target annual performance, which is subject to company and individual performance.
