The Team:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sr. Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team in Amstelveen, Netherlands.
The Opportunity
As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in driving financial planning, analysis, and decision-making processes for our organization.In this role you will provide primary support to regional and local CP and A&P teams. You will support them with their budget planning and tracking, while keeping an eye on regional strategic directions. Furthermore, you will support pricing planning with your dedicated brand portfolio.

Job Description
What Your Impact Will Be
- Co-ordinate and manage periodic licensing sales forecasting processes, including timelines, accuracy, and strategic alignment
- Ongoing CP full P&L tracking and analysis.
- Preparation of CP business reviews for regional and global leadership.
- Co-ordinate and manage accurate A&P (advertising and promotions) planning and tracking in Anaplan and oracle
- Ensure full visibility and understanding of (planned) A&P spendings as well as the CP P&L
- Partner with marketing for strategic price determinations
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Close activities: month, quarter, and year close:
- A&P: Manage the balance of previous year’s cost accruals including reversals and releases
- A&P: Help build the close accrual
- A&P + CP: Variation analysis
- Spend tracking and analysis (A&P):
- Accuracy checks comparing Anaplan planning to Oracle actuals
- Maintain a full overview of total spendings, plans and budget ownerships
- Monitor spendings compared to minimum guarantee obligations
- Notice and flag potential overspends
- Forecasting:
- A&P: Help setting regional budgets by brand and country
- A&P: Support and monitor budget owners’ detailed planning in Anaplan
- CP: ‘own’ the full periodical forecast cycle. While working with the regional and local business teams. Including checks and controls
- CP: Be aware and escalate any risk of plans going off track
- Business partnership (CP + A&P):
- Be the financial point of contact for local and regional business teams with a pro-active attitude
- A&P: You’ll ‘own’ a specific set of budgets – both regional and local
- CP: You’ll be the financial ‘go-to-person’ for the business for advice and support.
- A&P project coding:
- Update project coding and structures for marketeers to create POs (purchase orders)
- Manage your dedicated brand pricing portfolio in partnership with the commercial teams
- Ad hoc activities, including brand pricing, and A&P and CP analysis and reporting.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA is a plus
- Fluent in written & spoken English.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- 4+ years of experience in a similar role; experience in the FMCG industry would be beneficial.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
- Experience with financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes
- In-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle,Anaplan) and the ability to quickly adapt to new financial systems
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated and able to work independently
- Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing financial issues
