As a Sr Financial Analyst, you will develop robust analytics to support merchandising vendor negotiations. You will partner with your team to provide vendor and category-level insights to your supported business function influencing annual vendor negotiations and in-season vendor performance. As needed, you will provide ad hoc decision-making support for strategic initiatives and special projects.

About you:

  • Four-year degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, or Finance
  • Four or more years Finance/Accounting/Audit or related Operations experience
  • Experience working with spreadsheet applications (Microsoft Excel)
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, project management, planning and organization skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and partner teams with high level of autonomy, motivation, and self-direction
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with strong initiative and willingness to take risks
  • Natural curiosity to ask questions and look within the data for outliers and connections to improve upon existing tools and processes
  • Detail oriented with the ability to work on multiple tasks and deliver outcomes 
  • Willingness to make financial recommendations with a progress over perfection mindset

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
