Job Description
Overview: A Senior Civil Designer to join Arcadis growing team in Toronto West office. You will be a key member of a focused and dedicated team. The group provides preliminary and detailed design services. The projects are for both private and public clients in various jurisdictions.
Responsibilities:
- To function as a drainage designer on civil infrastructure projects with a focus on detail design for transit, municipal/arterial road and freeway projects
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads
- Preparation of drainage area maps and grading plans
- Design of storm sewers and appurtenances/elements related with storm water
- Design coordination with other design disciplines
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil/Environmental Engineering, CET or P.Eng.
- CET or P.Eng. is preference but not a requirement if working knowledge is at par.
- 3+ years of experience in civil/drainage design
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads
- Verbal and written communication skills for interaction and correspondence with clients and design team
- Self-motivated
- Must demonstrate a collaborative attitude in working with members of the team
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with commitment to excellence and high-quality work
