As a Team Lead on the LEAP Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) High Pressure Compressor (HPC) Design team, you will be responsible for activities that contribute to the design and development of products, solutions, and systems. This includes tasks related to the technical improvement of existing products and components. Your role will impact approaches, projects, and programs within the functional area or affected business organization, influencing ways of working. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of your team, with significant input into setting priorities. Guided by professional practices and policies shaped by the role, you will have moderate autonomy and will be required to exercise high levels of operational judgment.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements for rotating parts.
- Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
- Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
- Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Design Engineering
- Ability to work on site, remote work cannot be supported for this role.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
Desired Characteristics
- Strong rotor and/or airfoil design (HPC preferred) experience
- MRB certification or DR substantiation experience is preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Previous team lead experience is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- Established project management skills.
