About the Role:

GoodRx is looking to bring on a Sr. Director, Strategic Operations Optimization for the Benefits Solutions team reporting to the Strategic Program Development Officer. 

As the Sr. Director, Strategic Operations Optimization, the main objective will be to serve as a principal advisor to drive operational strategy aligned with company-wide goals. This role will identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and process improvement, as well as drive initiatives that will enhance operational scalability and adaptability. This role will engage with internal stakeholders, as well as industry consultants to ensure these efforts are executed with a collaborative and innovative approach.  

Responsibilities: 

Lead Strategic Planning and Execution

  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company’s overall goals.

  • Identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and process improvement.

  • Drive initiatives that enhance operational scalability and adaptability.

Operational Oversight

  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure seamless business processes.

  • Monitor performance metrics and KPIs to evaluate operational success.

  • Address operational risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Resource Management

  • Optimize resource allocation, including budget, personnel, and technology.

  • Lead workforce planning and ensure teams are equipped to meet organizational needs.

  • Ensure cost control while maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Successfully collaborate with other departments (e.g., Pricing, Sales, marketing, IT, and finance) to align operational activities with business objectives.

  • Partner and collaborate closely with our Pricing team to improve program optimization 

  • Act as a central point for coordination, ensuring effective communication across teams.

  • Resolve conflicts and promote collaboration to achieve shared goals.

Process Improvement and Innovation

  • Analyze and refine workflows to improve efficiency and eliminate bottlenecks.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure all operations comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

  • Identify potential risks in operational processes and implement preventive measures.

Leadership and Team Development

  • Inspire and lead operational teams, setting clear goals and expectations.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

  • Provide mentorship, professional development opportunities, and performance feedback to team members.

Reporting and Stakeholder Communication

  • Regularly update executive leadership on operational performance and challenges.

  • Provide actionable insights based on data analysis to inform strategic decisions.

  • Ensure transparency in operations, building trust with stakeholders.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of professional experience in Pharmacy / Benefits / Consulting, or related experience, and an advanced degree

  • Prior experience with Health Plans, PBMs, Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, Digital Health and/or Pharmacy Retailers preferred

  • Strong communication skills and ability to create formal networks with key decision makers with ability to influence 

  • Be a principal advisor and consistently demonstrate subject matter expertise

The pay ranges below are shown as a guideline, and the successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and other relevant business and organizational factors. San Francisco and Seattle Offices:

$169,000.00 - $271,000.00

New York Office:

$155,000.00 - $249,000.00

Santa Monica Office:

$141,000.00 - $226,000.00

Other Office Locations:

$127,000.00 - $203,000.00
