The Role:
The Retail Bank Product Operations team plays a significant role that ensures our product organization has sustainable processes, tools, and resources that enable product teams to efficiently and effectively deliver against the Retail Bank's top priorities.
In this role, you will own Chief of Staff responsibilities and lead the PMO (project execution and change delivery) function for the Retail Bank product community. You will collaborate with smart and passionate leaders across functional areas to lead critical projects and drive sustainable improvements that improve our product manager and our customer experience. From day one, you will work alongside senior stakeholders to execute exciting projects and efforts that enable efficient and effective delivery of value across the product delivery lifecycle.
Responsibilities:

• Leading moderate to large sized teams to drive complex projects and programs by providing strategic direction
• Designing, developing, and managing project plans in a complex dynamic environment, revising needs to meet changing requirements
• Ensuring projects are being delivered on time and on budget within a challenging environment while simultaneously managing risk
• Partnering cross-functionally with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery
• Building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments

The Successful Candidate Will:

• Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project and program efforts
• Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment
• Display a passion for coaching and developing a team of associates through their leadership style
• Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
• At least 7 Years of Project Management or Chief of Staff experience
• At least 7 Years of People Management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters Degree or MBA degree
• At least 10 years of Project Management experience
• At least 10 years of People Management experience
• At least 2 years of partnering with engineering & product teams

This role is hybrid meaning associates spend 3 days per week in-person at one of our offices listed on this job posting. Fridays are enterprise- wide virtual work days. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are in-person days for associates to spend time together working in our beautifully-designed team areas.
The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $234,000 - $267,100 for Sr. Director, Project Mgmt
Richmond, VA: $212,800 - $242,800 for Sr. Director, Project Mgmt
Wilmington, DE: $212,800 - $242,800 for Sr. Director, Project Mgmt
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
