Position Summary
As the Senior Director, Human Resources for Thailand and Malaysia sites, your location will be based in our Navanakorn, Thailand site. You will be a hands-on leader, who is part of a global company and will be the strategic partner to the leadership team, driving organizational effectiveness and talent strategies that support our business objectives in the region. This role serves as the primary HR leader for the site while collaborating with global HR Centers of Excellence to implement best practices and programs that enhance employee experience and business performance in support of our growth initiatives.

- Reports to: CHRO, Human Resources located in the US
- Direct Reports: Site HRBP Team
- Matrix Relationships: Global HR Centers of Excellence, Functional Leaders, Site Leadership Team
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership & Business Alignment
- Partner with Functional and Site leaders to develop and implement talent strategies that ensure the organization has the right capabilities to deliver on business growth objectives
- Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management initiatives
- Translate business strategy into people strategies, providing insights and recommendations that drive business outcomes
- Participate in M&A activities within the APAC region, leading HR due diligence and integration efforts
Talent Management & Development
- Build a future leadership bench by identifying, developing, and retaining top talent
- Upskill organizational capabilities through targeted development programs and strategic hiring
- Partner with managers to create meaningful development plans for high-potential employees
- Implement succession planning processes that ensure business continuity and growth
Employee Experience & Culture
- Lead initiatives that enhance employee engagement and experience, resulting in improved retention and productivity
- Champion diversity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives that foster an inclusive workplace culture
- Promote Lumentum values and serve as a culture steward across the site
- Develop strategies to build workplace resilience and employee well-being
HR Program Excellence
- Drive best-in-class quality and delivery of all HR services and programs including performance management, compensation, employee relations, and leadership development
- Partner with HR Centers of Excellence to tailor global programs to meet local needs and cultural considerations
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations while maintaining global standards
- Leverage HR analytics to measure program effectiveness and drive data-based decision making
Stakeholder Relationship Management
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with HR Centers of Excellence to ensure coordinated delivery of HR services
- Build trusted advisor relationships with site leadership team and functional leaders
- Collaborate with international teams to share best practices and drive global HR initiatives
- Represent the HR function on cross-functional project teams and committees
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strategic Capabilities
- Demonstrated expertise in organizational design, workforce strategy, and planning to scale and grow organizations
- Strong change management methodology experience (e.g., PROSCI, Kotter)
- Ability to analyze complex HR data and translate insights into actionable business recommendations
- Experience in building leadership and management capabilities across diverse teams
Technical HR Expertise
- Comprehensive understanding of total rewards, talent acquisition, and employee development best practices
- Expertise in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management
Leadership Skills
- The agility to flex between developing strategy and immersing in details to drive execution
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data to influence decision-making
- Excellent cross-cultural communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- Proven ability to lead through ambiguity and manage competing priorities
Minimum Experience / Requirements
- 15+ years of relevant experience in HR at a site and/or regional level
- 5+ years in a senior leadership role in a multi-national company
- Bachelor's or master's degree in human resources, Industrial Relations, Communication, or a related discipline
- Experience partnering with C-suite executives
- Experience leading HR activities within a manufacturing environment; technology industry experience is a plus
- Experience working in a matrix HR environment and partnering with international teams
- Fluent in Thai and English (both written and verbal)
