The Senior Director – Ethics and Compliance Investigations will be responsible for conducting complex compliance-related investigations which is a key element for an effective compliance program.

Responsibilities:

This position reports to the Associate Vice President – Global Ethics and Compliance, Anti-Corruption & Investigations and is responsible for leading & conducting complex investigations into potential violations of company policies on a global scale. This role requires strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to operate independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Lead and handle complex investigations into potential violations of company policies
  • Develop and implement strategy for investigative plans, including conducting interviews, collecting and analyzing evidence
  • Prepare detailed investigation reports with findings, conclusions, and recommendations for corrective actions
  • Lead the presentation of investigations outcomes to senior management and actively guide the implementation of recommended solutions and corrective actions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, HR, and other departments to support compliance efforts
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, best practices in compliance investigations

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • JD degree, Certified Fraud Examiner, or other equivalent and applicable investigation experience required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience conducting complex investigations in a legal, compliance, or regulatory environment
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as required
  • Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization and/or visas for this role.

Additional Skills/Preferences

  • 5+ years of experience working in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry or a similarly highly regulated industry
  • Experience with GRC tools or other similar technology platforms
  • Exceptional analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle multiple investigations simultaneously
  • Outstanding relationship skills and the ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Proven track record of handling sensitive and confidential matters with discretion while maintaining composure in high pressure situations.
  • High ethical standards and integrity

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$150,000 - $220,000

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
