Position Purpose

Under occasional supervision, collaborates with team of architects, analysts, and developers to design, develop, modify, and maintain software delivery of high complexity. Performs debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development and release process.  To include cloud configurations, Infrastructure as Code, maintaining and configuring DevSecOps tooling and frameworks in partnership with Leads and Architects to meet business needs.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for complex software delivery.

  • Mentor and guide junior team members in adopting best practices and technologies.

  • Architect and implement highly scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure solutions.

  • Manage and optimize container orchestration platforms, especially Kubernetes.

  • Implement and enforce infrastructure as code (IaC) principles using tools like Terraform and Ansible.

  • Lead efforts in cloud architecture, optimization, and security (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate manual processes and enhance workflows.

  • Drive initiatives for continuous improvement, monitoring, and performance tuning.

  • Lead incident response and contribute to system troubleshooting and resolution.

  • Participate in on-call rotation for critical system support.

  • Leads in special projects and other duties as needed

Education & Experience

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field

  • 5+ years of relevant experience

  • [OR] equivalent level of education and experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Competencies

  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).

  • Extensive experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Strong scripting and automation skills using Bash, Python, or similar.

  • In-depth understanding of version control systems, especially Git.

  • Solid knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and tools (Terraform, Ansible).

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated services.

  • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and security best practices.

  • Excellent leadership and mentorship skills.

Compensation OverviewThe base salary range for the position is listed below. Please note that the base salary is only one component of our robust total rewards package at RLI. The salary offered will take into account a number of factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications/credentials, talent availability & specialization, as well as business needs. The below range may be modified in the future. Base Pay Range$94,376.00 - $134,958.00
