By supporting employee learning and professional development As the Senior Learning and Development Coordinator, you’ll work alongside members of the Development and Inclusion team, the Senior Manager of Development and Inclusion, and senior leaders to support the execution of Gas South’s vision, strategy, and action plan for diversity, equity and inclusion. You will focus on supporting employees’ continuous education through DEI training and professional development. You will have both internal and external responsibilities for managing specific initiatives that support our strategy to help us achieve measurable outcomes that integrate diversity, equity and inclusion into the organization’s overarching goals for employee engagement, retention and talent management.

Responsibilities
Learning and Development
- Manage the DEI learning journeys for employees through online, self-guided modules, and facilitate in person discussion group sessions.
- Actively research new pedagogies, curricula, and best practices that address common corporate challenges in teaching about cultural competence, awareness of racial micro-aggressions, identity, social difference, and inequality, and partner with the Senior Manager of Development and Inclusion to incorporate these conversations into company training and community discussions.
- Partner with learning and development training providers to provide relevant courses and content for employees based on identified internal cultural needs.
- Proactively consider the DEI and organizational outcomes when building learning journeys. Partner with the Senior Manager of Development and Inclusion to build reporting for DEI training and development.
Professional Development
- Own the strategy and execution of Gas South’s hallmark Trailblaze mentorship program including participant selection, session management, and graduation.
- Work with the Corporate Training Manager and senior leaders to identify unique professional development (PD) needs across the organization, and support conception and execution of new PD programs.
- Work with the Employee Relations Senior Coordinator to provide appropriate training in support of our student employment programs.
Talent Acquisition
- Represent the company at local Diversity recruitment events as determined in conjunction with the Senior Manager of Development and Inclusion.
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure diverse hiring pipeline, refresh leadership anti-bias training, and build relationship with diverse talent networks at partner universities.
- Support the Employee Relations Senior Coordinator with ensuring a positive work experience for diverse, entry-level talent through the student work programs.
Strategic Partnerships
- Identify external organizations and networks for both DEI and Learning & Development to engage with to ensure practitioners are sharpening their skills.
- Work closely with the Community Affairs Manager and senior leaders to support leadership development by matching internal talent with community board service and volunteerism opportunities.
- Partner with Government Affairs and Marketing to determine strategic external partnerships, sponsorship events, and awards for participation each year.
Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Program management experience
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably incorporating facilitation
- Technologically savvy and has demonstrated excellent working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Interest in marketing/communications and ability to uphold visual standards and adhere to brand requirements
- Strong interest in training and development programs
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and change direction as needed in a fast- moving environment
- Ability to problem-solve, be resourceful and exercise good judgment
- Ability to interpret and draw inferences from quantitative data
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Build effective working relationships with subject matter experts within the company and external marketplace to provide relevant updates regarding DEI-related trends, leading practices, and resources/tools.
- High degree of discretion and experience working with privileged, confidential information

Pay range is commensurate with education, experience, specialized skills or certifications, etc.
