Maxar Space is currently seeking a motivated and skilled Senior Data Specialist to join our team in Palo Alto, CA. In this role, you will support the spacecraft program office with key data deliverables to meet hard deadlines for contractual program milestones. Data deliverables include files for Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), Subcontract Data Requirements Lists (SDRLs), milestone review packages, test data, engineering data, and other program-related documents as outlined in the program Statement of Work. You will work closely with Export Compliance to ensure data deliveries meet government and legal export requirements before delivery to vendors, suppliers, and customers.
Responsibilities:
- Determine and define project scope and objectives
- Track all data deliverables as they relate to contractual requirements
- Forecast data delivery goals in coordination with the program office and responsible engineers
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
- Manage contracts with customers and the program office by communicating expected deliverables
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
- Monitor forecasted deliveries to ensure they are completed on time
- Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
- Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
- Review all data deliverables for necessary export and document rights markings
- Ensure all inputs are understood and clearly communicate requirements
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule using appropriate verification techniques
- Establish and maintain relationships with customers and vendors
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Bachelor's degree. An additional four years of experience may be substituted for a degree
- 5 years of related experience

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.
• The base pay for this position within California is: $85,000.00 - $141,000.00 annually.
For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
