The person is responsible for the security, safety, and access management as well as the Reception experience of a 240,000sf 21st century workspace campus for 3 distinct operating businesses of Sony Pictures Entertainment. As the First Face of the new campus, this role is responsible for leading all “Front of House” services and support. The role calls for someone with extensive experience in security services with a strong focus on customer service and employee experience.
The person in this role should be a natural people person, a hard-working problem-solver and someone committed to going the extra mile to ensure a best-in-class workspace experience. He or she should be committed to helping to create a community by, for, and about artists where team members are excited to come into the workspace. Good communication skills and experience with multiple digital tools and computer programs are required as well as facility with learning new platforms and products quickly. The Sr. Coordinator, Workspace Experience should be detail-oriented and customer-focused. A strong sense of teamwork, can-do attitude, and “no job is too small” mentality is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Serving as the First Face of this Sony campus, the person in this role plays an important role in establishing and maintaining the Employee and Guest experience for everyone coming to this location.
- Working closely with the Sony on-lot S3 organization (Security, Safety, and Sustainability) this role requires someone who has deep relationships within that community and experience managing security and safety protocols aligned with Sony policies and procedures.
- Managing the relationship between Sony provided Security and Building Security to ensure protocols and procedures are aligned between the two security organizations
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining Post Orders for onsite security staff.
- Managing distribution and ongoing support for all building access cards for elevators and parking and supporting distribution and ongoing support for all Sony standard access cards to be used to access Sony space and access to the Sony Lot.
- Managing parking program, guest validations, parking contracts provided to building management and any other parking related activities or communications.
- Developing relationships with local and neighboring organizations (i.e. local restaurants, farmer’s market vendors, local museums and art organizations). This role will provide concierge services for the employees based at this location and is expected to act as a resource for tenants and the resident operating businesses with thorough knowledge of the surrounding neighborhood offerings.
- Managing any transportation support activities designed to connect the campus with the Main Sony Lot.
- Visitor and Vendor Management, Handling onsite deliveries and communications with delivery vendors and suppliers
- Managing Keys, distribution of keys, and locksmith support for all keyed and secured doorways.
- Managing Security software, including camera systems, as needed
- Ensuring security staffing for regular operating hours, after hours special events, and all other event security needs as needed.
- Management of safety related protocols including earthquake readiness, fire drills, emergency medical support, and other first responder activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years working in a large scale security operation
- This role requires someone who has deep relationships with the Sony on lot S3 organization (Security, Safety, and Sustainability) and experience managing security and safety protocols aligned with Sony policies and procedures.
- Experience in high-touch customer-focused environments
- Experience working in a production environment, animation or visual effects studios, and/or work with Sony Facilities is a plus.
- meeting and exceeding client expectations, and strong technical experience in conceptualizing and executing a security program
- Strong communication skills
- FLS and CPR/AED Training a plus
- Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous environments, with a strong willingness to learn and continuously improve.
The anticipated base salary for this position is $56,000 - $70,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
