LCCI Market Research – Sr. Consultant - Synthesis

Eli Lilly has a broad portfolio of in-market and near launch brands across the globe. Brand and marketing teams rely on strong market research support to understand brand performance, identify new opportunities, create marketing & business plans, and recommend tactical adjustments, if necessary. 

This role is responsible for managing the engagement and execution of global market research projects and managing a consistent, timely market research process across global products. The job requirement includes the individual to have relevant knowledge and understanding of key business drivers to improve processes. The individual should be proficient in creating integrated solutions with strong hypothesis driven approach and ability to story board the relevant information. The role demands the individual to execute as well as distill insights in concise and effective manner. The role requires a close partnership and engagement with market researchers based in the US to understand their ongoing business needs.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Project Execution: as an engagement leader, responsible for
    • Developing and coaching team members to develop an approach for projects.
    • Proactively identify potential risks and probable solution to overcome the same.
    • Proactive communication on project plan, execution status, meeting timelines, and project timelines.
    • Detailed quality check to ensure all standard quality check measures are met.
    • Story boarding and insight generation with effective visual, written, and verbal delivery to business partners
  • Project Management
    • Enables decisions impacting basic operational, process, project, or service activities.
    • Strong understanding of local policies, procedures, and guidelines to conduct secondary market research and reporting.
    • Educates self and others on complex issues and gains supports for ideas; communicates effectively with a purpose; able to influence the project team to seamlessly execute the project.
    • Establishes key relationships with business partners; develops solutions to meet needs. Can drive conversations with business partners and advisors leading to increased capability and project penetration.
  • Education RequirementsMBA/Post Graduation from a Tier-I institution
  • Experience related requirements
    • 8 to 10 years of experience in consulting, brand teams in pharma companies or healthcare consulting companies with demonstrated ability to efficiently execute in an ambiguous environment.
    • Should have experience of working in Global pharma market with experience in the US and other major markets.
  • Technical Skills
    • Experience in Secondary MR, Market Intelligence, or Forecasting, depending on the need of the project and capabilities.
    • Requires commercial and pharma experience (direct or indirect). Provides strategic insights to Lilly Advisors, Brand Teams to shape/develop program/brand strategy. Brings deep understanding of therapy area and stakeholder (e.g., patients, HCPs, and payers)
    • Integrates research, intelligence, and alternate datasets to generate insights that facilitates decision making.
    • Facilitates delivery of insights in line with brand/ business unit strategy in collaboration with quantitative market research/ analytics data sets ensuring high efficiency and quality.
    • Should have demonstrated traits of customer excellence and capability expansion leading to business continuity.
    • Has relevant knowledge and understanding of key business drivers and barriers specific to the US, EU, Japan, and major pharma market & environment to improve processes.
    • Has a good understanding of the commercial life cycle of drugs and is able to contribute to effective scoping of projects and insight generation.
    • Superior analytical skills – high comfort in using tools (e.g., Excel) to analyze and visualize data via standard tools/charting methods.
  • Soft Skills
    • Strong work ethic, personal motivation, and team player who is dynamic and result-oriented.
    • Proven teamwork and collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple partners/projects.
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills 
    • Self-Driven and has ability to effectively present and defend analyses.
