Meet the team:
Dexcom is a medical device company primarily focused on the design, development and commercialization of continuous glucose monitoring or CGM systems for the management of diabetes by patients, caregivers and clinicians around the world. Since 1999, we have developed innovative technology that has transformed how people manage diabetes making the company the pioneer in glucose sensing for more than 25 years. In 2023, we expanded our global rollout of Dexcom G7, completed the largest expansion coverage in our company’s history and delivered new operational and financial efficiencies while growing our business.
To support this growth, our Procurement and Supplier Management (PSM) based in San Diego, U.S. is expanding the Procurement team at Dexcom Global Business Services (GBS by hiring a Sr. Buyer. The role serves as the primary point of contact for U.S. and Canada indirect procurement processes. The candidate will bring significant experience in procurement processes, supplier management, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring compliance with company policies and functional area requirements.
Where you come in:
- You will be the champion of Procurement policy and improve its adoption and compliance through interactions within the system and with business stakeholders.
- You will work with suppliers and stakeholders ensuring all requests are accurate and compliant (i.e. credit card purchase requests, put non-contracted spend on contracts as required).
- You will review and process request tickets in ServiceNow related to procurement processes and system usage.
- You will work closely with Procurement Operations, Strategic Sourcing, IT system admins and Accounts Payable teams on improvement projects and day to day issue resolution, including system integration error reports.
- You will identify opportunities to create more item or service catalogs in the e-procurement system
- You will support legacy contract retention in the contracts module within the eProcurement system.
- You will review all "buyer review required" purchase requisitions and PO change requests in the e-procurement system, ensuring compliance with company policies and requirements of functional area.
What makes you successful:
- You must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a relevant fields, plus experience in Administration and Accounting.
- You have a strong end-to-end procurement background, with extensive training in procurement management.
- You have experience in managing supplier information, system integration, process documentation, process improvement and compliance adherence.
- Your knowledge on the procurement side of manufacturing, sales and distributorship industry of medical devices, IT, facilities, operations is a huge plus.
- You have an extensive experience with business applications such as ERP (Oracle, SAP), eProcurement (SAP Ariba, Coupa); familiarity with Third Party Risk Management and Contract Lifecycle Management systems is good to have.
- You are proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), project management tools like Smartsheet, and diagramming applications.
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills and can confidently and decisively communicate at all levels of the organization.
- You are keen to details with exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- You are willing to learn, be trained, and agile.
- You are willing to work during the US working hours (Pacific Standard Time zone).
