Join us as a Senior Associate and talented analytics consultant, where you'll help implement strategic analytics solutions across the JPMorgan Wealth Management business. This role, reporting to the Executive Director and Head of JPMorgan Wealth Management Analytics Solutions, is central to our analytic strategy, managing cross-functional programs and establishing operating models for our major initiatives. Our Data & Analytics team, a unified force across the firm, powers JPMorgan Chase with insights, creating competitive advantages and delivering value. As part of this team, you'll plan, direct, and implement end-to-end solutions, including data infrastructure, data products, and complex analytics programs. As a Sr. Associate, USWM Analytics Solutions within the Data & Analytics team, you will play a central role in coordinating the implementation of strategic analytics solutions across the JPMorgan Wealth Management business. You will partner with key stakeholders, lead cross-functional forums, develop business cases, evaluate external vendor data, and ensure strong data and process controls. This role provides an opportunity to promote projects from conception to completion, create purpose and direction within project teams, and deliver value through your unique mix of business acumen, mathematical know-how, storytelling, and intuition.
Job responsibilities

  • Partner with key stakeholders across multiple functions develop an end-to-end plan for the execution of a project to build a new data pipeline, respond to a regulatory request, or implement an analytic proof of concept
  • Lead a cross-functional forum of subject matter experts across product teams, channel owners, practice management and client experience to develop and test hypotheses to drive new analytic strategies
  • Develop a business case and financial model for a new Data & Analytics 'big idea' given expected value to the firm to secure funding for the initiative
  • Evaluate an external vendor's data as a potential expansion the analytic capabilities within our customer recommendation engine
  • Coordinate with Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure strong data and process controls on a product feature that leverages large language modeling
  • Compile documents for senior leaders to provide simple status updates on our most visible, complex programs


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Are a 'jack of all trades' (or 'jill of all trades') with a mix of business acumen, mathematical know-how, storytelling, and intuition to translate business priorities into analytic objectives with a plan for execution that delivers value
  • Possess an unrelenting energy to bring ideas to life with the motor to drive projects from conception to completion
  • Create purpose and direction within project teams; you know how to keep the big thinkers grounded as well as bring detail-oriented analysts out of the weeds to move toward a common goal
  • Demonstrate flexibility and creativity in your problem solving - you geek out about developing an elegant solution versus just solving a problem via brute force
  • Recognize the stories in the data and illuminate them with consultant-quality visuals and presentations; you can summarize complex information to tell a simple story of what happened and why that can be easily consumed by executives
  • Thrive at creating order from chaos; you excel at demanding structure, establishing processes, and creating efficiencies to drive results
  • Comfortably navigate hierarchy, culture, and politics; you run meetings with grace and agility, ask the right questions, disagree without being disagreeable, and can flex your communication style across all levels of the organization


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Think R is more than a letter, PYTHON is more than a snake, and Java is more than an island or coffee bean; you have querying and programming skills and are curious to learn new tools and techniques
  • Previously worked in an analytic strategy, data science or business intelligence role at a financial services company or a consulting firm
  • Exhibit knowledge of the financial services industry and businesses (e.g., wealth management, retail, wholesale as well as operations and technology functions)
  • Are a lifelong learner and hold a growth mindset; we welcome individuals who geek out on industry podcasts, sign up for courses to expand their skills, or participate in KDD and Kaggle competitions for "fun" and love to share what they are learning with the rest of the team
