Ideally, you're a strong storyteller. You can take facts and data and craft compelling messaging that guides customers through the funnel. While you're great at sky-high concepting, you're also ok with detail oriented, day-to-day marketing work. Finally, you have the strategy chops to provide consultative guidance to the creative and not-so-creative alike.
Capital One Auto is seeking an experienced copywriter who will be working in a classic creative team, as well as partnering with larger groups (including business partners, project managers, strategy teams, etc). You'll have a strong understanding of B2B and B2C advertising, web, and be up on current trends in the marketplace.
In addition, you must have strong communication skills and be able to manage your own workload to achieve tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A strong portfolio with a range of performance marketing work across channels, with a focus on digital creative.
The nitty gritty:
Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid - Monday and Friday remote, Tuesday through Thursday in office
  • Works well balancing deadlines, unexpected roadblocks or delays, revisions, ad hoc requests, and changing priorities


Responsibilities:

  • Developing primarily digital communications for consumer acquisition
    • Email, web banners, and native app or website placements
    • Along with digital storytelling, web-design, design thinking, and concept development
  • Deliver high quality creative in a data backed, performance marketing environment. Closely collaborating with designers, developers, data science, and analytics teams
  • Understand business priorities, anticipating needs in your work
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and recognize ideas that should go forward
  • Effectively tailor message and pitch concepts to a broad group of approvers and stakeholders
  • Expertise in email, mobile and digital design trends and best practices
  • Ability to multitask, conceptualize, create and work directly with other team members with strong creative problem-solving skills


Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of copywriting experience
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a cross functional environment


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • 4+ years of copywriting experience
  • 3+ years of experience working in a cross functional environment
  • 3+ experience working on in house marketing
  • 1+ years of experience in one or more of the following marketing areas: B2B, Experiential or direct response performance marketing
  • 1+ years of experience in the financial services or medical industry
