Job Summary
This position requires a creative and high performing individual to lead development projects to support the Protein Business. The ideal candidate has finished beverage product knowledge with excellent problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to prepare innovative concept products to create new protein business opportunities. The candidate is expected to have rich research experience in the food industry to drive the true and practical product innovations. He/she must have high emotional intelligence and be able to interact smoothly with work associates (up and down the organization).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop technical solutions to customer-driven and marketing-driven beverage projects from bench-top to commercial scale levels. This requires being able to perform in laboratory, pilot plant and plant processing environments across multiple beverage application platforms.
- Remain current with relevant food and beverage industry trends.
- Translate emerging ingredient science into impactful application and sensory technologies.
- Recognize problems/bottlenecks, uncovers root causes and drive solutions.
- Lead project resource and research planning, and monitors execution to accomplish project goals.
- Coordinate interdepartmental and customer interactions involving technical issues.
- Demonstrate leadership by training, directing and/or motivating others to achieve targets.
- Serve as a company technical expert and provide technical services to customers as needed (plant trials, troubleshooting, and training).
- Prepare and present technical papers and presentations for internal and external customers/contacts.
- Adhere to all safety and quality requirements; enhance site safety.
