Ensure operational success for new business (acquisition, conversion & share-shift) locations and their performance using First Student’s operational platform (FOCUS) and related systems. In addition, the Sr. Analyst of Operations Support will perform day-to-day efforts toward wage and hour compliance at all First Student Locations

Major Responsibilities:

  • Outline responsibilities for incoming staff, explaining expectations as they pertain to system activities (routes & schedule management, dispatching, payroll)
  • Monitor systems access, FKO installations for all locations and users
  • Monitor user list and track completed training requirements of location staff via FAU and one-on-one scheduled trainings with Ops Support TrainersEscalate any process roadblocks to appropriate management, Ops Support individuals, and New Business Integration team
  • Submit all access requests for all users and verify completion of the task for FOCUS, Kronos, Insights, DriverHub systems, et al. Ensure proper system usage ongoing, by all new staff.
  • Configure FOCUS and KRONOS for all new business
  • Provide new staff with an understanding of Location Scorecard, Daily Dispatch and other metrics while identifying practices to employ for improvement.
  • At conclusion of Integration support handoff of location to permanent OSA(s).
  • Perform reviews and trainings for adherence to all applicable Wage and Hour regulations while utilizing FOCUS and related systems, ensuring locations apply the rules, regulations, and proper system utilization
  • Assess field and customer needs ongoing, ensuring we provide all tools needed for customer satisfaction, accurate payroll processing, and ad hoc analyses
  • Follow procedure and appropriate conduct when auditing and interacting with the field to ensure delivery evokes compliance and success
  • Work closely with Director Operations Support as a main resource and SME in current new business progress and performance
  • Be prepared and available to assist in other First Student projects as needed.

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent) preferred
  • 2-4 years related experience Project management skill sets preferred.
  • Ability to partner with operations with strong focus on client service.
  • Very strong analytical skill set required with proven ability to break complex problems into simple components for effective communication.
  • Experience in leadership role demonstrating ability to influence, coach and inspire individuals to achieve company, departmental and individual performance goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively and enthusiastically lead change
  • Sound business judgment as evidenced by the ability to set priorities and plans, escalate issues appropriately and drive for results
  • Ability to switch roles easily as workload requires, given the fluid nature of acquisitions in this business
  • Position will require at least 50% travel
