Summary

This role works closely across regional DSI IT teams and is responsible for the ongoing production support of Commercial and R&D IT systems and applications. The individual in this role owns the support of technical design / development, testing / debugging, deployment, and manages the ongoing operational production operations of analytic dashboards, databases, applications, and integrations supporting Commercial and R&D needs, including scalability and maintainability. Must possess hands-on experience with integration tools (Azure Data Factory, Informatica IICS, or equivalent), enterprise scheduling / orchestration tools (Tidal Enterprise Schedule or equivalent), enterprise Managed File Transfer tool (Cleo Harmony or equivalent). Must be able to independently investigate and debug data and technical issues while collaborating with Daiichi Sankyo IT staff, sourcing partners, and data stewards on effective tactical and strategical solution options and recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for operational activities for Daiichi Sankyo in the Commercial space including but not limited to Transparency Reporting Solutions, Customer Master Integrations, Data Exchange, and Dashboards. And in the R&D space including but not limited to clinical trial management system, drug labeling, and learning management system.
  • Administration of enterprise job scheduler, Manage File Transfer, Business Intelligence, dashboards, and database environments.
  • Manage service providers activities to identify availability issues with outsourced and internal solutions, performance issues. Monitor production and non-production environments. Monitor help desk incident and problem tickets and ensure closure per agreed upon service levels and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with development team to build new Business Intelligence reports and dashboards and enhancements of existing reports and dashboards supporting R&D functions. Including data blending and integration of multiple sources of data. Responsible for prioritizing team activities and managing quality of the deliverables. Oversee the support and operations of production reports.
  • Administrator of DSI Manage File Transfer solution supporting business, corporate and pharma development divisions. Supervise outsourced administration, development, operations, and support activities for the solution. Coordinate and manage IT and business request queue to support new and changes to existing file transfer setups.
  • Provide second and third level support for any operational issues.  Serve as the primary point of contact for Commercial areas including but not limited to Transparency Reporting, data exchange, dashboards and customer master data inquires. Serve as the primary point of contact for customer master data, data warehouse, data security, data integration, database, Manage File Transfer, and enterprise scheduler operational issues. Track problems and incidents and document status from team members and communicate status and system performance to management. Serve as secondary point of contact of R&D areas including but not limited to clinical trial management system, drug labeling, and learning management system.
  • Support Daiichi Sankyo internal business departments, data steward, and sourcing partners with the following activities: capacity planning, problem management, impact of application issues and overall application (s) stability and associated delays (incident management), operational support for data exchange, integration and data loads, communication on issues and resolutions to DSI.
  • Support the analysis of the vendor(s) monitoring tool(s) that are used to manage, run, notify, and report application and hardware/software health issues for the EDW, integration, enterprise scheduling, and database environments. Continuously review performance of internal and external monitoring processes and tools to optimize proactive notification of high impact operational issues.
  • Monitor and oversee vendor Service Level Agreements and notify management when thresholds are breached, so that management can ensure that corrective action can be taken. Assist in the review all technical solution documentation created and maintained by the vendor for all outsourced solutions. Assist in the review vendor partner contractual agreements to ensure performance is well defined and measurable. Monitor that all internal and external resources providing operational support are adhering to standard processes, guidelines, and track that corrective action is taken on a timely basis.

Education Qualifications (from an accredited college or university)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience. preferred

Experience Qualifications

  • 4 or More Years of hands-on experience with cloud-based Data Integration tools (Azure Data Factory, Informatica IICS or equivalent)
  • 4 or More Years of hands-on experience with enterprise job scheduler / orchestration tools (Tidal Enterprise Schedule or equivalent)
  • 4 or More Years of hands-on experience with enterprise Managed File Transfer tool (Cleo Harmony or equivalent)
  • 4 or More Years of hands-on experience with MS SQL Server DB, Azure SQL DB and SQL DB Managed Instance
  • 4 or More Years experience with Business Intelligence and dashboard design and support preferred
  • Ability to understand and analyze the existing system and provide quick solutions to resolve issues and meet new requirements preferred
  • 4 or More Years pharmaceutical experience preferred
  • 2 or More Years of hands-on experience working with Java preferred
