Job Description

Our facility in Miamisburg Ohio currently has an opening for a Senior Accountant.  In this role a key member of Accounting, reporting to Controller.  You must be a dedicated team player committed to working in a high growth organization and partnering local finance teams in addressing corporate accounting matters for North America and UK manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities:

• All aspects of consolidation and financial reporting for Qioptiq business (sales, backlog)
• Prepare materials for monthly management presentation
• Revenue recognition determination
• Sales tax reporting to corporation
• Research and implement new accounting standards
• Goodwill impairment testing
• Assist in GAAP audits and preparing audit supporting schedules (PBC)
• Identify trends, anomalies, inefficiencies, and gaps in accounting processes and provide actionable recommendations to address areas, streamline processes, enhance accuracy, and improve productivity
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing accounting experience, specifically ASC606
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required;
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is beneficial but not required
• Proven ability in working with SAP and advanced Excel is required, Onestream experience is a plus
• Is self-motivated and can work with limited supervision
• Exhibit an assertive personality with a strong bias for action with a results-orientation; tackles tough problems with firm deadlines
