The Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in Beaverton, Oregon. In this role, you'll perform critical accounting functions while driving process improvements and maintaining accounting systems in an innovative SaaS environment. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement and the opportunity to contribute to DAT's continued growth in the transportation technology sector.

What You’ll Do

• Execute monthly close process, including account reconciliations and journal entries
• Manage fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules
• Lead sales tax reconciliation and payments using Avalara platform
• Prepare and analyze essential financial reports
• Oversee personal property tax compliance
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives
• Support accounts payable operations as needed
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial projects

The Skills and Experience You’ll Need

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3-5 years of corporate accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and applications
• Experience with Great Plains, Sage FAS, and Avalara (highly desired)
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office 365 and Google Workspace
• Proven track record of tech-enabled process improvements

Additional Skills

• Salesforce experience is a plus
• Experience with data analysis/coding languages (SQL/Python)
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in teams
• Strong project management capabilities
• Experience in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment

For Colorado-based candidates, in compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the minimum salary for this role is $85,490 + benefits. The maximum compensation for this role can vary significantly depending on your job-related skills and experience. DAT considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education and training, core skills, internal equity, and market and business elements when extending an offer.
