Sr. Account Executive

Territory: North New Jersey 

Who You Are:

As a Sr. Account Executive in our Wholesale department, you will oversee our established cannabis wholesale program and help us continue our rapid growth in one of the fastest-growing industries. You will be responsible for driving new sales and meeting revenue targets through acquiring new accounts, account management, and providing sales metrics and reporting for your designated region.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage all sales efforts for wholesale accounts throughout the state to achieve monthly and annual sales revenue and gross margin targets.
  • Partner with the local market team to develop state-specific strategies.
  • Conduct sales calls and selling efforts for wholesale accounts.
  • Develop and nurture new accounts and key customer relationships.
  • Develop pipelines, targets, and innovative strategies to increase opportunities and sales in the market.
  • Create and organize promotional events, update sales menus and product availability databases, and execute customer orders.
  • Work with the marketing team, and develop promotional plans, campaigns, and educational initiatives to attract the interest of and capture new customers.
  • Prepare and present sales reports to track leads and execute follow-up.
  • Ensure proper inventory levels are maintained through sales tools, smart communication, and in-store visits.
  • Stay abreast of industry, customer, and competitive product landscape.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers to understand their needs.
  • Build a strong base of industry expertise.
  • Attend cannabis industry trade shows, conferences, conventions, and other professional events to stay current on industry trends as well as to interact with potential and existing customers.
  • Travel Requirements: We are looking for a road warrior to cover their given assignment with occasional overnights.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS) or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum 1 year of wholesale experience.
    • At least 2 years of professional sales experience, including 1 year in B2B sales.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong sales track record in driving revenue, achieving growth, and exceeding sales quotas.
    • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to adapt to changing trends and priorities.
  • Personal Qualities:
    • Results-oriented, driven, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic.
    • Team-oriented with the ability to foster collaboration.
    • Competitive mindset with a desire to achieve top performance.
    • Eagerness to learn new skills and maintain a student mentality.
    • Success in building customer relationships and fostering business growth.

 Even Better If:

  • You have experience in the cannabis or liquor industries
  • You have experience managing or mentoring team
  • You possess a solid understanding of the cannabis industry, cannabis laws, rules and regulations and the ability to stay current on any changes for the industry.
  • You have software proficiency in the following: Hoodie, Leaflink, Leaftrade, Microsoft Office Suite.
