Context/ ROLE
Edenred Mobility is launching a digital transformation program to overhaul the experience of fleet managers, drivers and merchants.
Each of these mentioned areas are organized as tribes, which in turn contain multiple squads (Scrum teams). Each squad has Software Developers and QAs, with Scrum Master focused on Agile practices and Product Owner owning the specifications. There are also transversal roles at tribe level or at program level like Release Train Engineers, Product Managers, Software Architects, DevOps.
As part of this transformation program, Edenred mobility is looking for a Squad Leader leading the Software Developers and QAs and collaborating with team stakeholders.
Position SCOPE & Key Responsibilities
Reporting to Delivery Lead, the Squad Leader is responsible for leading a number of developers and testers inside one squad, as well as contributing to the technical solutions, in-line with the program’s goals and objectives.
This will include:
» Supporting the Delivery Lead to foster a culture of high standards for technical implementations and keeping the milestones
» Own building, managing, developing an engineering team that meets the needs of the program and that works well within the overall system architecture
» Hands-on technical activities, provide leadership on tech solutions
» Monitor and keep optimal the team’s performance, quality, workload
» Helping the team continuously improve its technical proficiency; having a good understanding of the squad performance and addressing its needs (e.g. skills ramp-up when needed, mentor team members, ensure regular sync and provide regular feedback)
» Setting individual performance objectives and reviewing goals of squad members
» Participating in the recruitment of new developers (hire and develop the best)
» Contributing to the successful delivery of new product features as part of an agile development team
Technical environment: Microservices, Azure, Rest API, Java Spring Platform, Angular
Required skills & profile
Experience:
» Senior development expertise (5+ years experience) on backend (Java Spring) or frontend (Angular)
» 2+ years experience in a Team Leading role
» Proven experience of fostering a learning and improvement culture, supporting more junior members in their career development
» A good people person with the ability to motivate others
» Experience of setting/reviewing objectives
» Excellent communication and leadership skills
» Practical experience in Agile frameworks (Scrum) and tools (JIRA)
» Experience in developing microservices solutions based on Spring Boot; or in developing frontend applications using Angular
» Experience in cloud environments (Azure is preferred)
» International experience or working in international projects is a strong plus
» Willingness to discover and address new and complex topics
» Fluent in English (spoken and written)
