The Mission
Leidos has an immediate opening for a Splunk Administrator/Developer to join a large IC/DoD customer contract. Leidos is looking for a collaborative and forward leaning individual who wants to tackle challenges and be a part of creating innovative solutions. In this role, you will provide design support for a very large distributed Splunk environment, spanning security, performance, and operational roles. Additionally, you will support the visualization development lifecycle from requirement gathering, data correlation, end user dashboard development, Splunk App integration and configuration, and deliver dashboards that provide actionable data for administrators, service owners, and decision makers.

Primary Tasks:
- Develops, customizes, and configures Splunk apps and dashboards.
- Builds advanced visualizations using ITSI and glass tables.
- Build and integrate contextual data into actionable visualizations.
- Interact with end users to gather requirements.
- Coordinate with O&M Service Lanes on data collection and monitoring requirements.
- Mentor users and other groups on their use of Splunk.
- The individual must be able to communicate effectively with a minimum of supervision in verbally and in writing. Must be able to use Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint effectively.
What sets you apart?
- Extensive experience implementing Splunk Dashboards.
- Experience working in an enterprise network environment.
- Experience supporting ITSI for enterprise monitoring.
- Experience with Splunk apps and add-ons.
- Experience utilizing DBConnect and/or REST API for collecting data from external systems/databases.
- Experience integrating with external monitoring solutions such as SolarWinds, Microsoft SCOM, NMMI, NetScout.
- Splunk Certification for Administration or Development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Implements integration with external systems.
- Familiarity with Intelligence Community/DoD enterprise systems and networks
- Familiarity with integrating with IT Service Management (ITSM) solutions such as ServiceNow
- Familiarity with automated alerting and reporting
Education
- Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience, Master’s degree with 6 years, Associate's with 10 years, or High School Diploma with 12 years.
Clearance
- Due to the nature of the government contracts we support, US Citizenship is required.
- An active TS/SCI with polygraph is required for this position OR TS/SCI and willingness to obtain and maintain a specific polygraph.
Certifications
- Candidate must, at a minimum, meet DoDM 8140.03 (previously DoD 8570) – IT System Admin Intermediate certification requirements (Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+ CE, GSEC, or higher). Specific “or higher” certifications for systems administrators include FITSP-O, GFACT, CASP+, CCNP Security, or CCSP.

Pay Range:Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
