Our global procurement set up anchored in Maersk Procurement is responsible for driving the procurement agenda globally and engaging with supply chain partners. Maersk Procurement teams operate from multiple locations across the globe.
ESG is one of the strategic enablers for Maersk, and you will be joining a group of passionate people within the Sustainable Procurement (SP) team to drive compliance and impact for thousands of suppliers globally through Maersk sustainability standards.
In this role, you will own the actions related to the process KPIs (reported externally) and support the team in achieving the targets through portfolio management. The role involves working with cross functional teams in a multi-cultural setting, supporting strategic ESG projects and driving the ESG agenda in a strategic manner.

Key responsibilities:
- Support in driving and implementing the Sustainable Procurement strategy for Maersk Brands
- Conduct supplier assessments through ESG documentation reviews
- Own actions to meet the process KPI targets through effective stakeholder engagement
- Analyze the KPI data, trends and suggest creative approaches to meet the targets
- Ensuring timely closure of improvement plans and escalations to leadership for consequences for non-closure.
- Leading the audit arrangements from planning to execution and ownership on the report and finding closures to support business.
- Organize and conduct capability building programs through trainings, tools, and workshops.
- Participate in strategic projects and deliver timely results.
- Become an ambassador of ESG in supply chain through active advocacy with internal and external stakeholders
What are we looking for an individual with,
- 3+ years professional experience in sustainability/ESG roles, preferably in sustainable supply chain operations
- A passion for ESG and excellent understanding of ESG issues in relation to the evolving regulations
- Proficiency in working with global stakeholders coupled with growth and profit mindset.
- Take ownership and drive initiatives independently with attention to detail.
- Assertive and result oriented with good Project management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with creative solution orientation.
- Collaborative working style and ability drive alignment with key stakeholders and leadership
- Multi-tasking priorities and stakeholder expectations with a focus on deliverables
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English and other languages
- Excellent in MS office applications (Excel, Power point) with working knowledge of other applications and ESG solutions
