Get to Know the Team

You will be part of an exciting team which grows and manages the accounts of Key Merchants for GrabFood Malaysia.

Get to Know the Role

  • You will manage a portfolio of F&B Mid Market Key Accounts with a focus on building lasting relationships and increasing profitability/revenue.
  • You will be responsible for the pitching of marketing campaigns and selling of new products/programmes to all merchants to drive growth.
  • You will assist in elements of business identification, partnerships, account management, and execution strategy.
  • You will be reporting to the Manager of Mid Market Merchants, GrabFood Malaysia and working onsite Petaling Jaya.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • You will manage a portfolio of key chain restaurants with a focus on building lasting relationships and increasing profitability/revenue.
  • You will liaise with key merchants for merchant-funded promo programs, partnerships, new products, and new features.
  • You will identify bottlenecks and potential issues related to merchant operations and deliver solutions to these issues.
  • You will drive growth of key accounts by analyzing data and developing initiatives to increase profitability/revenues aligned with country targets.
  • You will execute business improvement projects to create value for both merchants and Grab Malaysia.
  • You will evaluate strategic and partnership opportunities, performing a broad range of quantitative and qualitative analyses.
  • You will work across functions to tailor merchant-specific needs, such as customized reporting, marketing support, and integrations, and drive operational excellence by collaborating with merchants and operations teams.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • You have demonstrated proficiency in excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), PowerPoint, Power BI, and all Google applications.
  • You have a Bachelor (or above) degree in Business/Management or equivalent.
  • You have 3 years of experience in sales, business development, partnerships, or an equivalent role.
  • You have experience responding to prospect communications in both English and Bahasa Malaysia, with additional language skills such as Mandarin is a plus.
  • You have demonstrated emotional ability and excellence in dealing with merchant representatives.
  • You have experience communicating product benefits and providing comprehensive solutions for varying customer needs.
  • You have the ability to collaborate effectively across internal and external organizations.
