Job Responsibilities:
About the Role
The Specialist Digital Learning (based in Troy/USA or Graz/Austria) will drive the implementation of Magna's digital learning strategy, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to enhance employee performance and engagement. This role collaborates across Divisions and Groups to design and deliver innovative e-learning solutions, staying at the forefront of industry trends and AI advancements. By managing vendor relationships and optimizing translation solutions, the Specialist ensures our learning programs are effective, inclusive, and aligned with our organizational goals.
Your Responsibilities

  • Partner with Group/Divisional leaders in HR, Talent, and functional / technical subject matter experts to design, develop, and implement innovative digital learning solutions that meet the needs of the business and align to the global L&D strategy.
    • Identify training needs, recommend solutions, provide guidance and advice on training best practices.
    • Collaborate with the business, and global L&D team members to create engaging and interactive e-learning content, including videos, simulations, and assessments.
  • Analyze learning data to assess the effectiveness of digital learning programs and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge resources, templates, and tools to enable learning administrators and functional subject matter experts to develop their own content aligned to L&D quality standards.
  • Develop and continuously improve on governance and training to support learning administrators and subject matter experts on the use of digital learning tools and resources.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in digital learning, focusing on leveraging AI and emerging technologies to:
    • Optimize and automate L&D processes and practices.
    • Advance and evolve how employees learn (ex. learning in the flow of work).
  • Manage vendor relationships in the field of digital learning and innovate solutions for translations.


Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in designing and delivering digital learning solutions.
  • Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate) and familiarity with AI technologies in learning and development.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A creative and innovative mindset, with a passion for leveraging technology, including AI, to enhance learning experiences.
  • Willingness for regular work travel, estimated at less than 15%
