In the Airport and Parcel Solutions business unit (APS) we have a position available for a Specialist Controls Engineer in the Technical Product Management department (TPM). We’ll give you the opportunity to work in an inspiring and challenging work environment.
Your department
Our company is becoming a platform-based company, which actually means that we use a solid set of standard modules (building blocks) linked to the engineering processes, which are used throughout our global organization.
The Technical Product Management department is a global, knowledgeable team of multidisciplinary product managers and discipline experts responsible for building the bridges between departments within Vanderlande and ensure product and process alignment for all disciplines. The core tasks of our team are sales and project execution support, the introduction of new products, development of our platform solutions and integrating continuous improvements.
With our department we focus on maximizing CTO (Configure To Order) value and minimizing ETO (Engineering to Order) efforts, where we contribute to the modularization and deployment of our platform-based Airport and Parcel solutions.
Your position
As a Specialist Controls Engineer, you’ll have a key role in the total controls design and implementation of our Parcel platform; functional design, PLC software development, hardware and software configuration, implementation and testing of our Parcel platform modules.
Our company has a way of working based on platforms and a configure to order approach; a solid set of standards linked to the engineering processes. Every three months updates of our standards will be rolled out into our global organization and will be used during the project execution.
We use all the functionality of Siemens TIA Portal, supported by our own developed productivity tooling to automate repeating tasks and to enable a predictable and reproducible execution of the engineering process.
On occasion you might need to travel to one of our site projects to test our Parcel Platform solutions.
Your profile
Successfully completed education at HBO (higher vocational education) level in Industrial Automation or Controls Technology:

At least 5 years of experience in an Industrial work environment.

Process driven team player and eager to learn.

"Product development" mindset to create standard re-usable solutions.

Knowledge of hardware architectures and industrial networks.

Knowledge and experience of Siemens TIA Portal and industrial automation product portfolio.

Knowledge of Atlassian products such as Jira and Bitbucket.

Good command of the English language is required, Dutch is preferred.

Willing to travel a few times a year for 1-2 weeks

We are looking for both mid and senior candidates. This position offers a competitive salary range of €5.060,00 up to €6.252,00 per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale.
