Who We're Looking For
The Contract Manager for the CTIO (Chief Technology and Information Officer) organization is responsible for leading the contracting lifecycle for highly complex agreements across various IT categories. This role ensures strategic alignment, risk mitigation, and operational excellence while managing supplier relationships and driving compliance with company policies. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports, requiring strong cross-functional collaboration and expertise in IT contracting.

Focus Areas: Software, Hardware, Subscriptions, SaaS, Data Centers, and Circuits
Key Responsibilities:
• Contract Lifecycle Management:
• Facilitate the end-to-end contracting process for highly complex agreements, including software, hardware, subscriptions, SaaS, data centers, and circuits.
• Collaborate with legal, privacy, security, and other SMEs to ensure contracts meet organizational standards and address key business needs.
• Execute contracts promptly while ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate guidelines.
• Conduct peer and leadership reviews of key agreements to protect and advance the company’s interests.
• Vendor Negotiation and Risk Mitigation:
• Lead supplier negotiations to achieve favorable terms, manage risks, and drive value creation.
• Identify and address business and contractual risks, escalating issues as necessary.
• Ensure adherence to privacy, taxation, customs, trade, and information security requirements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Partner with category management teams to align contracts with regional and global sourcing strategies.
• Act as a liaison between Procurement, Strategy, Legal, Security, and other stakeholders to address contracting and policy-related questions.
• Process Improvement:
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to elevate contracting capabilities within Strategic Sourcing & Procurement.
• Contribute to the development of standardized tools, templates, and processes to streamline contract management.
• Training and Development:
• Participate in ongoing professional development to expand expertise in contracting and supplier management.
• Share knowledge and best practices to enhance team and organizational capabilities.
Experience, Education, and Certifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (10+ years in a relevant field).
• Extensive experience managing IT contracts within procurement, legal, or vendor management functions.
Key Competencies and Skills:
• Technical Knowledge:
• Broad understanding of IT platforms and terminology, including cloud solutions, SaaS, hardware, and telecom.
• Familiarity with tools such as SAP, Oracle, Conga, Appian, and asset management systems.
• Analytical and Decision-Making Skills:
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex information, identify risks, and develop innovative solutions.
• Proficiency in data analysis, visualization, and reporting to drive decision-making.
• Leadership and Communication:
• Strong interpersonal skills to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Industry Experience:
• Telecom industry experience preferred, with a solid understanding of procurement processes, financial controls, and contract management.
• Problem Solving and Adaptability:
• Recognizes problems early and escalates or resolves issues effectively.
• A team player who demonstrates flexibility and a willingness to lead or support as needed.
