We are seeking a Solutions Engineering Intern to support and enhance Dynamic Line Rating (DLR) profiling studies, a critical tool in growing grid capacity and resilience. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive on problem-solving, data analysis, and process improvement while collaborating with cross-functional teams. What will you do?
Core Responsibilities and Key Performance Objectives

• Learn and validate the DLR profiling study process, a methodology that forecasts the impact of LineVision technology on transmission lines
• Execute profiling study code in Python and compare and analyze results to actual project data
• Document findings and provide data-driven recommendations to improve accuracy and efficiency of the profiling process
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to refine methodologies, enhance automation, and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., IEEE 738)

What do you need to succeed in this role?

• Python & Data Analysis: Confidently execute existing code, validate results, and refine methodologies using Python and analytical tools.
• Problem-Solving & Judgment: Troubleshoot code discrepancies, interpret data logically, and make informed decisions to improve accuracy.
• Clear Communication & Stakeholder Management: Summarize findings concisely, collaborate across teams, and contribute to customer-facing deliverables.
• Mission-Driven Ownership: Take initiative in refining DLR processes, ensuring compliance, and driving clean energy innovation forward.

Work Schedule
The ideal candidate would be available starting May 19 or later for 8-12 weeks, working 40 hours a week. LineVision has a standard US holiday schedule, and up to a week of additional unpaid time off is permissible. Upon successful internship or co-op completion, you will be considered for a full-time position upon graduation.
Compensation: $20 per hour

Salary Description
