The Role

As a Solutions Engineer at Tenet3, you will play a pivotal role in advancing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to drive innovation in digital acquisition and complex systems analysis. In this hands-on role, you will develop and implement MBSE tools, digital twins, and methodologies to enhance design, testing, and verification processes. Working closely with a collaborative team, you’ll provide input on integration of MBSE practices into existing workflows, creating scalable solutions that address critical challenges in aerospace and defense.

Essential Job Duties

  • MBSE Consultation and Expertise: Provide hands-on technical support and guidance in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies to Air Force program teams, assisting with digital acquisition planning and MBSE integration.
  • Tool and Methodology Development: Design, develop, and refine MBSE tools, models, and simulation frameworks to enhance the design, analysis, and verification of complex aerospace systems.
  • Digital Twin and Simulation: Apply MBSE techniques to create digital twin applications and support the testing, validation, and verification of models in a simulated environment.
  • Process Optimization and Best Practices: Establish and document efficient processes, best practices, and procedures for program consultations to ensure consistent, high-quality support across projects.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Present technical solutions, insights, and progress updates to stakeholders, translating complex engineering concepts into clear, actionable information for leadership and project teams.
  • Continuous Improvement and Knowledge Sharing: Develop use cases, best practices, and technical documentation for MBSE methodologies, incorporating lessons learned to enhance future projects and foster continuous learning.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Security Clearance: Eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance.
  • MBSE Experience: 2+ years of practical experience in digital engineering, with strong knowledge of MBSE tools like SysML, CAMEO, DOORS, and techniques such as property graphs and ontologies.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python, MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++, or Java.
  • Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with agile development principles.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to convey complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Team-oriented, able to take and give direction, and responsive to customer needs and challenges.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related technical field.
