Solutions Engineer – Level 2

Summary:

This role reports to the Solutions Engineering Team Lead as well as the Director of Application Development. Solutions Engineers (SEs) at TransPerfect are passionate about product development, business analysis to the scope of the requirements for new features and enhancements and release management
 

Responsibilities:

• Work with Solutions Engineer to identify the product improvements to increase the efficiency of Trial Interactive tech Operations Escalations
• Collaborate with product managers to build the release backlog and write functional specifications in project management system.
• Participate in sprint planning and daily scrum calls with the development teams
• Build the release deliverables for patch, minor and major releases
• Collaborate with tech writers team for release notes and training 
• Collaborate with the DevOps to schedule new release upgrades
• Write technical documentation about special projects and the new processes
• Prepare release rollout artifacts for the solutions engineering team for new releases.
• Create eLearning videos internally for tech services team
• Complete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for this role and assigned by the manager/supervisor

About you:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in computer science from a 4-year college and 4 years’ experience in product development and tech operations engineering 
• Very Strong analytical background, and communication
• Deep knowledge on all aspects of SDLC, and release management
• Agile process and scrum framework
• Experience in multi tear Web application development 
• Work experience distributed teams 
• Detail oriented with strong problem solving skills
• Superior written and spoken communication skills in English
• Proficiency in Aha, JIRA, TestRail and wireframe tools
• Strong work ethic

A plus if you have...

Deep understating of HTTP, REST, JSON, IIS , Tomcat, Web application development
Deep understanding of MSSQL, TSQL, XML, and C#
Experience in SSO solutions 
Advanced scripting experience in shell scripts and Python
Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment work with multiple team across time zones
Work well with people from a variety of different backgrounds and cultures
Build relationships with clients and co-workers
Can work independently and as part of a team
Take active measures to solve problems and commit to a high level of service
