The Regional & Community Lenders team at Built focuses on empowering mid-sized and community banks, credit unions, and other lenders to modernize their construction lending workflows. Leveraging Built’s Construction Loan Administration (CLA) product suite, which spans both consumer and commercial construction lending, we enable lenders to deliver vital support to their communities by funding projects that develop the communities around them—creating homes, workplaces, recreational spaces, and generating jobs.
Our solutions help streamline construction loan management, enhance collaboration, and mitigate risks, ensuring lenders can meet the needs of their customers with confidence. While our primary focus is on CLA, we also explore opportunities to provide Asset & Portfolio Management (APM) solutions as they arise.
Collaborating closely with Account Executives, Product, and Client Services teams, we focus on delivering impactful sales outcomes that empower lenders to meet critical community needs.
ROLE SUMMARY & SCOPE
This Senior Solutions Engineer role is a sales position focused on driving sales outcomes through consultative selling, establishing credibility, understanding client businesses through discovery, and aligning Built’s solutions to create value for their current and future goals. Success in this role hinges on the ability to demonstrate these solutions effectively through tailored demos and workflows. You will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring success through the outlined responsibilities.
In this role, you will:
- Act as a trusted advisor to lenders, identifying opportunities to streamline construction workflows and improve decision-making.
- Design and present customized demos that highlight Built’s capabilities, including inspection services, reporting tools, and configurable workflows.
- Serve as an enablement leader, coaching Account Executives on Built’s product suite and its application for community lenders.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work with transformative clients, champion innovation in lending, and directly influence Built’s growth trajectory.
RESPONSIBILITIES / WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Collaborate with Account Executives to uncover client needs and design tailored solutions that align with their business objectives.
- Lead discovery sessions to map client workflows and challenges to Built’s CLA and Marketplace Services products.
- Develop and deliver compelling, customized demos that address lender pain points, with a focus on efficiency, risk mitigation, and borrower collaboration.
- Provide guidance on technical integrations, workflow configurations, and reporting capabilities to ensure successful client adoption.
- Act as a strategic resource in deal strategy discussions, contributing to value-based selling and ROI modeling.
- Enable and coach AEs on Built’s products and features, ensuring they can confidently articulate value during early sales stages.
- Collaborate with Product and Implementation teams to share client insights, influence roadmap priorities, and refine go-to-market strategies.
SKILLS
- Expertise in lending workflows, particularly related to construction finance, inspections, and borrower collaboration.
- Strong technical acumen, with familiarity in API integrations, configurable SaaS solutions, and reporting tools.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging with senior-level stakeholders.
- Proven ability to deliver tailored demonstrations and build business cases for regional lenders.
- Consultative problem-solving approach, capable of navigating complex sales cycles.
- Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and demo platforms (e.g., Navattic).
- Knowledge of regional and community lending dynamics, with a focus on scalable solutions and lightweight SaaS offerings.
Built’s salary range for this position is $130,000 -$150,000 USD per year. The pay range is designed to accommodate upward mobility in the role, therefore it encompasses the full span of proficiency levels for this role and we believe that the midpoint of the range is competitive in the market. Salary is just one component of Built's total compensation package for employees.
