Solutions Architect - Media, Entertainment, and Gaming

*This is a remote position, but some travel will be required for key industry events like GTC, NAB, IBC etc, as well as occasional on-site visits to client locations.

We are seeking a highly accomplished Solutions Architect to spearhead our pre-sales solutioning and engineering efforts within the Media, Entertainment, Gaming, and Sports (MEGS) sector. This critical role demands a strategic thinker capable of translating complex technical landscapes into tangible business outcomes for our clients. You will leverage deep MEGS industry expertise to architect innovative solutions and serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership. This is an exceptional opportunity to drive significant impact by aligning technology strategy with business objectives in a dynamic industry.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Alignment: Understand client business drivers and strategic priorities within the MEGS landscape to architect technology solutions that deliver measurable business value.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with C-suite executives and key business stakeholders to understand their challenges, articulate the value proposition of proposed solutions, and foster alignment on technology strategy.
Pre-sales Advisory: Collaborate with sales teams to understand client requirements, contribute to the development of proposals, and present compelling technical solutions to prospective clients.
Solution Definition & Design: Lead the definition and design of end-to-end solutions, incorporating a strong understanding of broadcast video and audio workflows, leveraging cloud platforms and emerging technologies, including AI. This includes the creation of clear and concise technical documentation, such as signal flow diagrams.
Deal Shaping: Analyze proposed solutions to determine their financial implications, including Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) potential, and demonstrate a clear return on investment for our clients.
Industry Expertise & Innovation: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the evolving technology landscape within the MEGS industry, including advancements in broadcast, cloud, AI, and new media formats. Proactively identify opportunities to leverage these innovations to enhance client solutions.
Practical Application & Technical Validation: Possess the ability to apply practical technical knowledge to validate solution designs and provide hands-on support when necessary, ensuring feasibility and optimal performance.
About YouThe essentials:
Extensive experience (15+ years preferred) within the MEGS industry, demonstrating a thorough understanding of broadcast operations and technology.
Proven ability to architect and deploy solutions leveraging cloud services from major providers. Experience with IP media workflows and relevant standards is highly desirable, (e.g., SDI, IP, SMPTE 2110, NDI, AES, MADI, AoIP) .
Strong understanding of IT networking principles and their application in media environments.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a track record of effectively engaging with executive-level stakeholders.
Strong business acumen and the ability to translate technical solutions into clear business outcomes and financial models.
Experience in identifying and resolving complex technical challenges in broadcast and IT systems.
Ability to interpret technical documentation and create clear visual representations of solutions.
Familiarity with key broadcast technology vendors and their solutions, such as Evertz, Ross, Imagine Communications, Sony, Grass Valley, Vizrt, SSL, etc..
Demonstrated ability to conceive, develop, and document innovative workflows and solutions that have not previously existed within the broadcast or related industries. This includes a strong aptitude for R&D, experimentation with emerging technologies, and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for groundbreaking improvements in production and delivery.
Experience in leading the design and implementation of novel broadcast and/or media technology solutions that establish new industry standards or significantly enhance existing practices, including security protocols.
Not a must, but a plus:
Experience with AI/ML applications within MEGS industries.
Previous experience in a client-facing technical role such as solutions architect or pre-sales engineer within the MEGS sector.
Familiarity with security best practices for media and cloud environments.
