As a Solutions Architect, you'll play a key role in our innovative team dedicated to creating exceptional experiences for our global customers.

From powering platforms like NBCUniversal’s Peacock in the United States to Sky’s NOW, and SkyShowtime across Europe, and now Showmax in over 40 countries in Africa, one thing’s for certain, your contributions will impact millions of viewers worldwide.

What You’ll Do:

• Work with product owners, security teams, analysts, and development teams across Sales & Service and the wider Sky business to understand business needs and technical requirements.

• Design and document technical solutions that can be refined, estimated, and implemented by development teams.

• Collaborate with other architects and teams (e.g., app teams, data teams) to ensure seamless integration across the entire architecture.

• Identify opportunities to enhance the platform, whether through new technologies, improved standards, or infrastructure realignment.

• Communicate architectural decisions effectively to different stakeholders, from technical teams to product owners, adapting your language to each audience.

• Ensure that solutions align with industry best practices in security, performance, and resilience.

What You’ll Bring:

• Experience as a Solution Architect or in a senior development role with exposure to architectural decisions.

• Strong technical background, ideally in e-commerce or large-scale platforms, with experience in: Microservices architecture and Kubernetes; NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra); Cloud deployment at scale; Resiliency patterns and common security architectures; API design and synchronous/asynchronous integrations

• Web and mobile frameworks

• Ability to balance multiple priorities such as security, performance, cost, and delivery timelines.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams and time zones in a global business.

• Experience in documenting and presenting architecture to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with a passion for driving innovation and improving customer experiences.
