We are seeking a Solution Engineer to join our EMEA Software Monetization (SM) team.
The SM Sentinel solution portfolio provides software companies and intelligent device vendors with software protection, licensing, download, and automated entitlement management solutions. With over 35 years of experience we help our customers to drive business growth and extract the most value from their software, whether in the cloud, embedded in hardware, or installed on premises.
In this customer facing role you will serve as the technical owner of the customer accounts providing guidance and leadership in the presales phase throughout the Italy, France and EMEA region, covering a range of SMB and enterprise software protection solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as the primary technical interface for prospects or existing customers during the Pre-Sales stage, engaging in discussions to understand their technical requirements.
Become a subject matter expert on the entire "Sentinel" SM product portfolio. Accompany sales managers on visits to prospective customers, assisting in the Discovery and Diagnosis phases of the Pre-Sales process.
Accompany sales managers on visits to existing customers, assisting in running periodic Customer Business Review to qualify potential upselling opportunities.
Gain a comprehensive understanding of the customer's business objectives and articulate how Sentinel technology aligns with these goals.
Define and present the scope of product demonstrations and presentations to key stakeholders within the customer's organization.
Build high-level solution designs, including the necessary implementation steps.
Lead responses for Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposals (RFP).
Establish success criteria and guide the customer through Proof of Concept (POC), Hackathons, and product evaluations to ensure successful outcomes. For larger accounts, collaborate with the Professional Services team to create detailed solution designs, technical architecture, and process workflows. Provide consulting, best practices, and technical training to prospects and customers to facilitate a prescriptive implementation of Sentinel technology.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Degree: University degree
Years’ experience : 5+
Environment background: Technical & Consulting Customer facing role, supporting midsize and enterprise grade customers with complex technical solutions
Languages: Fluent or native in Italian, fluent in English and French
Main qualities : A technical degree and a broad knowledge of IT are essential, with experience in back-office systems, network protocols, web services, virtual environments, and operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and Android considered advantageous.
Familiarity with basic software development is necessary, with any experience in C/C++, Java, or .NET being beneficial.
Excellent communication and presentation skills are required.
Proficient training skills are required to effectively educate customers on the use of Sentinel technology.
A willingness and ability to travel, primarily within Italy and France, is necessary, potentially occupying up to 50% of the work week.
Strong ability to develop and maintain healthy relationships with customers is essential.
Capability to quickly familiarize oneself with new products and concepts is required.
An interest in developing business acumen in addition to technical skills is desired
