What You’ll Be Doing

The Solution Designer – Generative AI Applications is responsible for leading the functional design and development of application systems for Generative AI Applications. The role provides consultation for senior management on a wide spectrum of existing and emerging infrastructure technologies, translating user requirements to process and data requirements and developing solutions for the business with far-reaching impact. The Solution Designer – Generative AI Applications provides technical leadership to develop precise steps and processing logic across all platforms, ensuring the designed specifications achieve business needs. In addition, the role provides comprehensive senior level technical consulting to other IT senior management and senior technical teams. The role makes technology selection decisions that are often made in situations where business requirements are not completely defined.

How You’ll Succeed

• Strategic Development & Execution: Help the development team achieve the solutions by providing guidance, best practices, and technical expertise throughout the development lifecycle. Design and develop generative applications using Azure cloud services and OpenAI technologies. Build and integrate RESTful APIs, with a focus on Azure API Management. Deploy and manage Python applications on Azure, optimizing cloud services for performance and scalability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define application requirements and specifications.
• Strategy and Roadmap: Contribute to technology roadmaps that are aligned with the bank’s vision, strategy, and business objectives. Lead multiple complex technology solutions while maintaining consistency across the platform, adopting best practices and pushing forward continuous improvements. Assist the business in assessing the feasibility of proposed solutions and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Technical Oversight: Utilize CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab Actions) for efficient deployment processes. Implement containerization and orchestration solutions using Docker and Kubernetes in Azure. Work with open-source LLMs (e.g., LLAMA, Mixtral) and develop applications that utilize these models. Write and tune prompts for LLMs, ensuring high-quality outputs for generative tasks. Develop indexing and chunking strategies for Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) applications. Utilize Azure AI Search and other search solutions to enhance application functionality. Leverage Microsoft PromptFlow or RAGS evaluation matrix for application development and evaluation.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the solution lead and interface with the project teams by driving and moderating design review sessions to walk stakeholders through and ensure that the overall design aligns with business requirements as well as architectural directions. Support and mentor junior designers and developers through knowledge sharing, collaboration and effective problem solving

Who You Are

• You can demonstrate 5-7+ years’ experience in. full-stack development experience designing, developing, implementing and supporting applications with expertise in most of the following: Python and frameworks such as Django, Flask, Langchain, Llama Index, and FastAPI. Strong experience with Python environments (PyCharm, Jupyter, Visual Studio Code). Proven experience deploying cloud native applications (Azure App Services, Azure Functions). Advanced proficiency with Git and version control practices. Experience building RAG applications and AI agents using Python and Open AI. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud service optimization. Expertise in writing and tuning prompts for LLMs. Understanding of indexing/chunking strategies for RAG applications. Familiarity with search solutions, particularly Azure AI Search.
