Solution Design & Delivery Manager – Warehouse Automation
Job Overview
The Numina Group is seeking an experienced Delivery Manager with deep process improvement expertise in warehousing, software and automation application to join our team in a leadership role. Numina Group is focused on improving clients’ end-to-end order fulfillment practices through the design, development and implementation of warehouse automation solutions. Services include process engineering, material handling automation, software integration, change management and implementation services all focused to achieve improvement in financial performance of the clients warehousing and supply chain performance.
The Delivery Manager is accountable and a key stake holder in the successful delivery of automation projects, defining the requirements of warehouse automation solution with the client’s team, and working with the Numina software and engineering team to achieve exceptional customer satisfaction.
This role demands a strategic and strong technical leader comfortable managing complex warehouse automation engagement, guiding a multidisciplinary team, and building enduring long term client relationships.
As a Delivery Manager you will have a leadership role in our cross-functional solution design team to ensure the automation solution meets or exceeds the customers’ business objectives. You’ll maintain a big picture awareness, and work with the internal solution delivery team to identify and implement design standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Involvement in the solution design definition phase and own end-to-end implementation and delivery of warehouse automation projects
- Understand and assist in aligning Numina’s team with the client’s business objectives
- Executive Stakeholder management (internal and external) communication
- Define detailed, client-specific requirements for automation solutions, translating operational needs (e.g., throughput, scalability, cost efficiency) into actionable functional specifications.
- Ensure the defined automation requirements deliver measurable value, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and safety while exceeding client expectations.
- Gather and act on client feedback to refine requirements and project outcomes, ensuring long-term satisfaction with implemented systems.
- Partner with sales and leadership teams to identify opportunities for new automation projects, leveraging expertise in defining tailored solution requirements to expand client engagements.
- Provide strategic guidance on emerging trends, such as autonomous robotics or predictive analytics, to inform requirement definitions and deliver forward-thinking solutions.
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers and software developers to deliver process flows, ensuring alignment between defined requirements and delivered solutions
- Overseeing Technical Documentation (Interface Design Document & User Interface Document)
- Drive continuous improvement in our business practice and methods for continuous project improvement success and client success.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a process engineering background, is detail oriented, collaborative and with strong technical, management and communication skills including:
- Minimum of 5 years designing and documenting automation solutions spanning mechanical, electrical and software disciplines in warehouse, distribution and manufacturing organizations
- Minimum of 3 years managing and overseeing the implementation of warehouse automation solutions leading an internal business or consulting firm software or technology practice.
- A proven track record of effectively advising and communicating with customer executives and managers.
- Demonstrate a creative ability to identify and resolve design issues, develop viable alternatives and manage change processes
- Bachelor's or master degree in an engineering field or on the job technical and project leadership equivalent expertise.
