This is the role and main tasks

The Solution Consultant is responsible for gathering business requirements, conducting workshops and training sessions, and the configuration and implementation of the solution, resulting in the delivery of high value customer solutions. Solution Consultants require a high degree of emotional intelligence and consulting acumen with the ability to influence and lead different stakeholders towards a common, agreed upon solution. You need to be an excellent communicator who is very comfortable leading discussions and whiteboarding, when necessary.

More specifically, you will:

  • Lead Conceptual and Detailed Design sessions to identify a client’s Master Data Management requirements
  • Quickly understand the business issues and data challenges of client's organization and industry
  • Identify client organization's data management strengths and weaknesses and can document “as is” and “to be” processes
  • Review and edit requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution
  • Define and configure the Stibo Systems STEP platform
  • Support the Project Manager to identify risks, timelines, dependencies, and critical path activities
  • Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships
  • Ensure a full understanding on project scope and proactively work with PM and client to minimize scope creep
  • Support sales phase to customers in terms of Project Implementation related areas such as development of RFI’s and RFP’s

Our primary objective is to manage and advise our customers on master data management solutions. We work from pre-sales activities all the way through the delivery and implementation of software related to our Stibo Systems Enterprise Platform (STEP).

Who we are looking for

As a candidate you have proven experience within the software industry - preferably within Master Data Management and/or Information Management. You have advanced skills in one or more of the following areas: e-commerce solutions, Retail IT solutions, Product Information Management (PIM), Master Data Management (MDM), ERP, CRM, System Integration experience.

Moreover, you must have:

  • 4-year degree in Technology / Computer Science / Engineering or relevant experience
  • Thorough understanding of system design principles and SDLC 
  • Comfort in leading and facilitating discussions in front of different levels of stakeholders, both internal and external to Stibo Systems
  • Comfort dealing with ambiguity and ability to influence and make decisions with less than 100% information available
  • Understanding that there is constant change and can handle multiple client engagements and responsibilities
  • Comfort training the customer and technical staff on configuring the solution and training end-users on using the solution
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, ideally in Japanese and English language
  • Solution consulting experience will be a plus
  • JavaScript and other programming skills will be a plus
