Are you a technical problem-solver who has a background in software development or experience in multiple areas of technology, and an understanding of software delivery and Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)?
What we are looking for:

Breadth of technical experience, not depth

History of collaboration with other technical teams such as cyber, data governance, systems engineering, etc.

Currently performing as a Solution Architect, or any of the following: Business Systems Analyst, Delivery Lead, Technical Project Manager, Software Engineer, looking to take their career to the next level.
In this role you will ensure alignment between IT and Business, foster innovation and support business and IT strategies.
As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:

Build new solutions that deliver value to the Business’ objectives

Creating current and future state architecture diagrams of the systems and data capabilities required for project delivery
-
Creating internal and external partnerships to enable business success
-
Efficiently and diligently following OMERS technology governance processes to enable successful delivery of technology solutions
-
Ensuring that the solution architectures delivered by projects are fit for purpose and adhere to sound IT practices and to OMERS principles and standards
To succeed in this role, you have:
Technical
-
A post-secondary degree in Math, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar
-
A minimum 5 years of varied experience in the IT industry with various technology domains, application development practices and IT operations
-
Familiarity of solution delivery and software development practices, application release and deployment, and automated testing, including source code control, build / package, environment configuration and monitoring
-
Solution Architecture experience in one or more of the following business and technology areas is preferred: Corporate Functions, Finance, HR, Legal, Audit, Communications, Real Estate
-
Nice to have experience in adopting and transitioning to cloud technologies from existing architectures
-
Cloud certification (AWS, Google, Azure, etc.) is a plus
-
Nice to have knowledge of cloud architectures and deployment models (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS)
Strategic

The ability to work well at a conceptual level, resolve ambiguity, and to drive concepts into workable and practical solutions to achieve a target state

Knowledge across various technology architecture domains and practices; capable of driving from architecture to design & implementation

Experience with on-premise, cloud or SaaS systems
Leadership

Experience facilitating sessions, helping participants reach decisions and accomplish goals

The ability to support our team on architectural concepts and processes

The ability to take initiative and willingness to learn something new
