As a Veeva Solution Architect in a large pharmaceutical organization, you will be pivotal in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions leveraging the Veeva platform, specifically Veeva CRM, Veeva Align, and Veeva PromoMats. Your expertise in cloud technologies and strategic roadmapping will ensure that our solutions align with business objectives and industry best practices while facilitating seamless integration with other cloud and on-premise systems.
The Position:

Solution Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and design comprehensive, cloud-based solutions utilizing Veeva CRM, Align, and PromoMats.

Roadmapping: Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for Veeva solutions, ensuring alignment with overall IT strategy and business objectives. Identify opportunities for enhancements and new features.

System Architecture: Create robust system architectures and integration frameworks to facilitate seamless interoperability between Veeva and other systems, both cloud-based and on-premise.

Platform Configuration: Customize and configure Veeva CRM, Align, and PromoMats to meet business needs, including data models, workflows, security settings, and custom objects.

Integration Management: Oversee integration between Veeva solutions and other systems, ensuring efficient data exchange and synchronization using APIs and middleware.

Technical Guidance: Provide mentorship and technical direction to development teams. Conduct code reviews and troubleshoot issues, ensuring adherence to best practices.

Process Optimization: Identify and implement opportunities to streamline business processes using Veeva’s capabilities, working closely with stakeholders to ensure efficient and performant solutions.

Cloud Strategy: Stay updated on cloud technologies and Veeva platform enhancements. Lead the evaluation and adoption of new cloud features, assessing their impact on existing solutions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with product managers, business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery, translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

Documentation: Create comprehensive technical documentation, including solution architectures (knowledge of LeanIX is a plus).
Who you are:

Experience: 5-7+ years of relevant experience as a Veeva or Salesforce architect, with a strong focus on cloud technologies. This role will be working with Veeva but experience with Salesforce is an asset with willingness to learn Veeva. It would be an asset to have expertise & business knowledge in the Pharma/Biotech/Dia/information industry and associated processes.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Veeva CRM, Align, PromoMats, and Veeva Vault is preferred; experience with Salesforce is acceptable with a demonstrated ability to quickly learn Veeva functionalities. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.

Cloud Proficiency: Proven experience with cloud-based solutions and architecture, including API-based integrations and middleware technologies.

Roadmapping Skills: Ability to develop strategic roadmaps that align technology initiatives with business goals, ensuring scalability and efficiency.

Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead development teams, set architecture, design and coding standards, and ensure best practices are followed.

Certifications: Relevant Veeva / Salesforce certifications (e.g., Veeva CRM Administrator, Developer, Veeva Vault Certified Administrator, Developer) are highly desirable.
