The Opportunity:

Mattel is looking for a Lead Oracle Financials IT Solution Architect with a functional/technical architecture skill set to design, solution, implement, and optimize our Oracle Cloud Fusion applications ecosystem. The ideal candidate will be joining the Global Technology Organization (GTO) Corporate Systems Applications group that supports Finance, Legal and Human Resource functions. The group is currently migrating from Oracle eBusiness Suite to Oracle Cloud Fusion. The ideal Lead Oracle Financials IT Solution Architect will have experience architecting and solutioning the migration from Oracle EBS to Fusion, bringing industry best practices to Mattel’s project. They will also have a deep understanding of Oracle Cloud Fusion applications, integration technologies, and best practices in cloud architecture, and be well-versed across the basic workstream pillars, including Order to Cash, Record to Report, Requisition to Pay, Acquire to Retire, Plan to Perform, and Projects to Result and understand and solution/support across process areas and understand interdependencies.
Reporting into a Director of GTO, the Lead Oracle Financials IT Systems Architect is a critical role that partners with business teams and business leadership as well as IT teams and IT leadership to support and help transform finance
What Your Impact Will Be:
- Support the Oracle system architecture of the migration from Oracle Financials EBS to Oracle Cloud Fusion
- Demonstrated Oracle Accounting Hub experience
- Support the enterprise design and integration solutions between Oracle Cloud Fusion applications and other enterprise systems
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure scalability, performance, and security of Oracle Cloud Fusion implementations
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Conduct regular architecture reviews and propose improvements to existing systems
- Stay current with Oracle Cloud Fusion updates and new features, recommending adoptions when beneficial
- Bring expertise, knowledge and experience to the Corporate Applications team as a senior Oracle cloud system expert with leadership and drive, interfacing with IT peers and business users
- Work with internal customers, external consultants and vendors to support project and operational tasks, as they relate to the Oracle Cloud Financials environment
- Understand business problems & opportunities and architect solutions to enable the organization to achieve its goals.
- Create and maintain documents showing recommended solutions, including:
- Functional Design Documents
- Technical Design Documents
- Detailed Design Documents
- Developing current state/to be process flows
- Etc.
- Interact with Mattel application leads, Mattel business leads, Third Party application partners, Mattel Consulting Partners, to understand and analyze functional and technical requirements
- Lead design discussion sessions with IT and business resources
- communicate core application functionality and change impacts clearly
- Conduct and participate in code review sessions for team deliverables as needed
- Guide team members involved in development and unit testing
- Provide written and verbal status to management on a weekly basis, and as requested
- Troubleshoot critical issues in development, staging or prod environments
- Support go-live preparation, and production rollout activities
- Support business driven projects that integrate with both in-house systems and cloud-based SaaS solutions
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- Requires 7+ years of Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials experience as a solutions architect, with at least 3 years’ experience architecting for Oracle Cloud Fusion
- Have a deep functional and technical understanding of Oracle ERP Financials from a global perspective – multiple OUs, Global and Local COA’s, Ledgers, etc. – with expertise in Oracle cloud functional processes of Record to Report, Order to Cash, Requisition to Pay, Plan to Perform, Projects to Result, and Acquire to Retire.
- Expertise in Oracle technologies (e.g., Oracle Integration Cloud, Web Services, OCI, DBCS)
- Participation in at least 2 full life-cycle Oracle ERP Financials migrations for global organizations
- Experience with Oracle localizations and globalizations
- Ability to KT with Oracle Solution architects of a Big 4 consulting firm to prepare client to take over and support large-scale Oracle cloud project
- Proficiency in cloud architecture principles and best practices
- Ability to lead design discussions with IT and business teams and communicate current application functionality and impact of design changes
- Interprets and transforms information based on business requirements and provides the data for delivery team
- Proactively seek opportunities for simplification, application rationalization, and continuous improvement
- Excellent critical thinking skills to help address and resolve business issues
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of users and IT/Business leadership
- Plan and organize tasks, report progress, and manage and coordinate with project consultants and Mattel resources
- Ability to work with and guide existing production support teams to manage issues and develop enhancement opportunities
- Ability to work with multiple departments to document and validate current state business processes
- Understand and modify the application configuration as required (includes system setups, flex-fields, workflow builder, custom library, profile options, etc.).
- Experience with SOX system implementations, and interacting with internal audit to satisfy their requirements
- Oracle Cloud certifications
- Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.
The annual base salary range for this position is between $140,000 and $165,000
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
