Job Description
The Opportunity:
Open to remote - Travel required
Mattel is currently seeking a Senior Manager for Global Supply Chain (GSC) – Legacy iSeries/AS400 applications. This position drives and improves quality and UAR process across all of our Legacy systems built in iSeries supporting Manufacturing, Order Management, Logistics, Inventory Management processes. The ideal candidate should have strong understanding and supply chain business acumen especially in the areas of Manufacturing, Order Management, Warehouse and Logistics. The role will report to the Director of Global Technology (GTO), Supply Chain
What Your Impact Will Be:
Drive Technology and Process Alignment
- Ensure proper processes and document requirements are being followed
- Improve and Strengthen iSeries Legacy User provisioning and UAR process.
- Engages in rigorous root cause analysis, problem solving and solution implementations.
- Support Mattel Supply Chain business/process by maintaining and updating systems and data used. Systems include but not limited to iSeries/AS400, Blue Yonder, Anaplan, Order Management Systems, Transportation Management Systems, GCP
- Identify, vet, review with leadership, and implement process improvements
Support Global Technology Operations as iSeries/AS400 Platforms point of Contact
- Work with GTO teams to provide timely and accurate data by improving process and technology
- Identify and address all IT issues for iSeries/AS400 as primary point of contact and optimize infrastructure, hardware, software and processes, in close partnership with the GSC business team and driving GTO dependencies
New Capability Deployment
- Primary conduit to supply chain planning business leadership and personnel in technology modernization initiatives across all phases of the project lifecycle (analysis, design, build, test, deploy)
- Responsible for working with the business team to gather detailed requirements and processes
- Applying leading practices to requirements and processes and facilitating the development of to-be processes to be deployed on the modernized platform which effectively support Mattel’s supply chain operations characteristics.
- Advance the use of analytics to make data informed decisions to further optimize our supply chain
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems or a related field.
- 7+ years related experience in Supply Chain technology/Planning/Replenishment/CPG/Fast Fashion/Toy industry
- Training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Interacts with business users, I/T, vendors and customers to define current and future application requirements.
- Involved in troubleshooting and debugging critical problems and resolving complex technical issues that may arise.
- Hand on experience in delivering the projects in Agile and Waterfall models
- Degree in technology related discipline
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues and strategy to both technical and non-technical audiences at senior levels within the bank. Interpersonal skills - collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation skills
- Broad understanding of Application, Information and Infrastructure technologies & practices
- Strong technical skills in IBM iSeries (AS400), Database design, Understanding of APIs and integration with backend systems
- Knowledge on MQ, FTP, and SFTP and connect direct is desirable.
- Experience on tools like implementer
- Knowledge and experience with deploying operating systems, applications, patch management and desired configurations
- Skilled in data and analytics with superior skills in enabling business and IT teams to leverage data in a timely and accurate manner
- Expert relationship management/networking skills.
- Expert verbal and written communication skills.
- Travel up to 25% may be required.
- Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning,
The annual base salary range for this position is between $128,000 and $160,000
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
