A day in the life of a Enterprise Content & Automation Solution Architect
- translate new product / service requirements into an IT blueprint and spot business opportunities in new technology solutions
- collaborate and reach out across Tribes and functional borders to connect with stakeholders within all levels of the ING organisation, from IT Lead to Engineer and from Tribe Lead to internal user, always with the ING customer journey in mind
- break down complex IT chains into deliverable solutions in close collaboration with squads within and outside the Tribe, using a Minimum Viable Product mindset
- identify and manage risks and potential issues and identify improvements across squads
- support the (cross-squad) implementation of the solution

- Keep up with market trends; you know what's going on both inside and outside ING and use your knowledge of the latest developments in business and technology to make structural improvements aimed at pushing your domain closer to target solutions for an industry-leading customer experience and service
- demonstrate comprehensive understanding of IT concepts and have significant knowledge of the IT landscape and (new) technologies. You guide and challenge development engineers when making implementation choices
- implement changes in an end-to-end journey, covering all functional and non-functional aspects in close collaboration with multiple teams
- show interest in and build knowledge of other domains and crucial IT systems within the bank.
- possess knowledge of modelling and apply the appropriate models for the right purposes, depending on the audience.

The team
Enterprise Content and Automation is central to ING’s digitalisation initiatives. In collaboration with your colleagues and the Product Leads of the various squads, you will deliver improved customer experience by designing and implementing enterprise content management features.
The solution architect is a key player in the cooperation between technology and business stakeholders. You make complex changes happen within and across Tribes by translating business requirements into a design that delivers customer value as early as possible.
