About the role:
As a Software Tester in the Data and Integration space within the Plasma-Derived Therapies (PDT) business unit, you will oversee all aspects of quality assurance, ensuring each software product adheres to the highest standards and meets specified requirements. Your contributions will be crucial in enhancing our testing methodologies and maintaining standard operating procedures. Collaborating closely with multiple stakeholders, you will design and execute test cases and scenarios that cover functional, non-functional, and negative aspects of Data Integration.
By planning, execution, and reporting of testing activities to ensure the product / feature meets all specifications and requirements, this role directly contributes to PDT's ability to harness data effectively, enhancing decision-making capabilities, and ultimately, competitive advantage in the market. You will be adopting cutting-edge technologies and methodologies which will help Takeda drive innovation, adapt to new opportunities, and continuously evolve in an ever-changing business/technological landscape.
This position will align to Testing & Validation chapter of the ICC and initially report to the Functional Delivery Lead for strategic direction as well as day-to-day management until the role of Senior Software QA Tester for Data Integration is filled within Takeda ICC. This is expected to be completed by early 2025, post which the reporting and managerial responsibilities will be transitioned accordingly.
How you will contribute:

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for data integration projects to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency.


  • Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts to improve efficiency and coverage of the testing process for data integration solutions.


  • Work closely with software developers, data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand data integration requirements and ensure thorough testing and validation.


  • Identify, document, and track defects in the data integration processes, and work with the development team to resolve issues promptly.


  • Ensure that all data integration solutions comply with company standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements, providing quality assurance across the data lifecycle.


Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.


  • 1-3 years of experience in Functional Validation / Testing with exposure to Mulesoft / integration platforms


  • Experience in domain and construct test and meta data (e.g. CSV, XML, JSON, PDF, etc.) for use within test cases.


  • Experience with automation testing using JavaScript / java / .NET and extensive knowledge on testing life-cycle process deliverables and reporting.


  • Experience on common test management tools like JIRA, Zephyr etc.


  • Experience on common integration testing tools like Postman / SoapUI / Fiddler, etc.


  • Knowledge of integration platforms / technology - preferably MuleSoft, ETL tools like IICS, SSMS, AWS Glue etc.
