The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
 

As a(n) Software Quality Assurance Engineer you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Leads software quality assurance activities throughout medical device software life cycle, including creating software quality assurance plans, performing software configuration management and change control activities, writing reports, performing gap assessments against applicable regulations and industry standards.
• Implements standard operating procedures for medical device software engineering, takes an active role in continuous improvement of the medical device software engineering process, including authoring, reviewing, and approving procedures, work instructions and templates.

Your Skills and Expertise 
 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• High School Diploma with 8 years of experience in medical device software quality or other regulated industry with equivalent software safety and security standards OR Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent with a minimum of 3 yrs of experience in medical device software quality or other regulated industry with equivalent software safety and security standards OR Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent with more than one year of experience in medical device software quality or other regulated industry with equivalent software safety and security standards

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Working knowledge of medical device software regulations (FDA, EU and other agencies) as well as medical device related standards such as ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 62304 amongst others.
• Working knowledge of C language preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
• Ability to effectively manage multiple simultaneous tasks and priorities and perform under a dynamic environment with parallel product releases and multiple project teams
• Ability to deal effectively with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitude.

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $95,825 - $117,120, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
