What you will do to contribute to the company's success
The AI/ML Engineer will play a crucial role in developing and deploying traditional ML & Generative AI solutions tackling broad ML challenges. This position spans from initial concept through to deployment, ensuring the delivery of high-performance solutions to enhance our services and customer experience across a wide range of applications. The successful candidate will engage in a variety of projects, from the initial concept through to deployment, ensuring the delivery of high-performance solutions that satisfy business needs. This role also encompasses the integration of machine learning models with RESTful APIs, managing data with SQL and NoSQL databases, and applying best practices in ML development and deployment .
The Software Quality Engineer II position will analyze the requirements, designs, develops and execute test Plans and test cases for integrated applications and changes to existing interfaces. Additionally, this position will replicate issues identified by other teams within Cable One and provide defect management\deployment to ensure a quality product provided to internal and external customers. Reviews quality of work of Quality Engineer I and provides mentoring and training.
Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Set forth below is a list of the essential duties and responsibilities (or "essential functions") of this position.
Analysis, Design, Test Case Development and Test Execution 80% of the expected responsibility.
- Understand the suite of applications that are supported in Product Software
- Involves in the review and planning of the Product backlog.
- Develop functional and technical test plans and test cases.
- Develop and execute test cases for performance and usability of mobile applications
- Perform compatibility testing with various mobile devices to ensure that functionality working as expected
- Develops detailed technical test cases for various types of interfaces, including SOAP, Command Line, Database level procedures (inclusive of data validation).
- Designs test data characteristics for data-driven test cases and ensure test data is in place to support testing.
- Develops and maintains the automated UI and Webservice test cases
- Performs test execution and report the test results for software quality improvement
- Develops and executes smoke test cases to support production deployments.
- Have the ability to troubleshoot issues individually or with the help of senior QA during the testing process
- Analyze project requests to estimate time and cost required to accomplish the project.
- Works as part of a project team to coordinate network test environments and determine project scope and limitations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or four years related experience and/or training in test plan\case development and execution with hands-on technical involvement; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as binary, hexadecimal equations, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid driver’s license and a good driving record required.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
2-4 years of experience testing various types of application interfaces and mobile applications
2-4 years of experience in various defect management tools like Quality Center and JIRA
2+ years of experience testing applications in Cable Service Provider or Telecom environment.
Introductory level training /knowledge in Operating system technologies such as MS Windows, Unix, or Linux.
Intermediate certification in Database technologies such as SQLServer or Oracle.
Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Must be a self-starter with sound problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Must be flexible and a team player.
