About this role:
Pickle Robot Company is on the hunt for a dynamic and driven Software Engineering Program Manager to shape the future of warehouse automation. In this role, you'll lead and optimize complex robotics programs across our software teams, ensuring seamless integration with our broader product vision. Your impact will span project planning, risk management, and cross-functional alignment, keeping programs on track with budget, quality, and timelines.
You Will:
- Collaborate with business and functional partners and technology leadership in specifying requirements.
- Support execution team with planning of activities over the short and mid term, using Agile methodologies such as Sprint or Kanban. Ensure plans are aligned with the company roadmap.
- Manage project risks, scope changes and other non-standard events throughout the life of the project.
- Manage stakeholder communication and progress reporting.
- Ensure quality of deliverables is verified and matching stakeholder expectations.
- Collaborate with product teams to ensure alignment with customer needs.
- Mentor junior team members, fostering a supportive, growth-oriented environment.
You Are:
- A seasoned program manager with 5-7 years’ experience, ideally in robotics or a closely related industry.
- A graduate of a BS program BS degree in an applicable engineering field.
- Experienced in developing both deep tech and mature products, with ability to discern approaches based on the situation.
- Strong team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources
- Demonstrated customer focus – evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer
- Strong analytical and strong problem solving skills -communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions, anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve, creates actionable strategies and operational plans
- Change oriented – actively generates process improvements, champions and drives change initiatives, confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways, balances multiple and competing priorities and executes accordingly
- Biased towards action. You pair strong creative and critical thinking skills to drive efficient implementation of ideas and projects.
- Skilled in adapting program management methodologies to fast-paced environments.
- Proven at leading cross-functional teams with a history of mentoring junior colleagues to excel.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and adept at balancing technical oversight with project timelines.
- Willing and able to work from our Cambridge, MA office at least 3x per week.
