Software Engineering Manager, Research Engineering, FactSet Research Systems Inc. New York, NY. Manage a team of software engineers or projects within the Research Engineering department. Duties include: Review product requirement documents; problem solving and working on high-level (operational or architectural) issues to ensure effectiveness of products under direct management; implements and tracks development timelines, and negotiates feature sets with development leads and product teams; sets goals and mentors development of ongoing projects; provides guidance and direction to team on software design and implementation; reviews code changes and submissions; presents technical & operational issues to senior management and sets deadlines and priorities for team members; helps to coordinate recruiting, training and new hire onboarding for immediate team.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or higher, or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related technical field and 2 years of software engineering industry experience working with full-stack web development, JavaScript, Vue.js, TypeScript, Node.js, HTTP, REST, Scrum, Kanban, Agile, large scale computing and data models, experience with developing and support new applications. Experience with Adaptive Cards, Jupyter Notebook and AWS services/storage (Lambda, SQS/SNS/EventBridge, CloudWatch, EMR, Aurora Postgres, DocumentDB, S3 and Step Functions). Front-end application development, working with the Product Development team on incremental product feature addition, diagnosis and resolution of client bugs and issues, implementation of financial models, and loading of client and third-party data. Must have full software development life cycle experience.
Basic pay range is One hundred forty eight thousand dollars to one hundred seventy eight thousand dollars per year for full –time employment (Mon. – Fri. 9-5).
